The trip down feels slower than ever. The elevator has gotten so empty, don't you think?

Also, a rollercoaster cart is pretty bloody loud when it's going down a track. There's no way he would've stayed on the tracks if he heard it coming. So this leads me to think that someone probably trapped him there intentionally--though, with what, it's difficult to tell.
