WE'RE STILL HERE AND THAT'S WHAT MATTERS FOR GRUMP'S SAKE
[Well today was quite the unusual way. Filbo pretty much went into his room and collapsed on his bed and just fainted because hey, everything that happened? It's overwhelming. Bluuuuuuuh.
A few hours later, once he recovered somewhat, Filbo just goes and gets paper. This is a ridiculous situation, but...hey, no matter what, stuff needs to be done]
I know today was a really weird day, but let's try to gather and see what happens. There will be ice cream at the ice cream parlor in half an hour. With everything that happened we really should try to at least not forget we need to stick together for whatever reason.

[Geez.
Well, he goes and does exactly what he said: this time it isn't booze, it's all kinds of ice cream available for anyone who comes. The tables all have spoons and water because really, this is going to be a whole lot of sugar for everyone. Better this than alcohol, especially since things clearly have gone off the rails one way or another, so may as well gorge yourself with ice cream and try to gather your wits for whatever the next week can bring]

But eventually it becomes clear that this isn't our battle (today), so Yeager wanders off to room 12 - Risotto's and Sylvando's room. He's initially in there only to do a sweep of the room and grab any more weapons, but... well, there's something on the desk and Yeager ends up standing there quietly for a long moment.]
...I won't let you down.
[He's going to be in there for a bit longer as well, cleaning up and putting things away just as Freyja noted in her journal.
Eventually he joins the afterparty proper; he's still got that massive scythe with him, but it's propped up against the table as he works intently on some notes. He'll notice if you approach, and hold up a hand in greeting.]
Do you have any experience with weapons? Have you received any from the vending machine?
afterparty
[Constantine is busy shoveling spoonfuls of rum raisin ice cream into his mouth, which can only end in brain freeze.]
Unfortunately, I think by the time I figure out whether or not it actually works on that bastard, it'll be too late.

[He nods at that, jotting it down.]
We'll back you up, of course. It may not be able to do anything at all, but that's why we'll form any other plans we can. I don't intend to sit idly by and wait for that thing to attack us again - and I doubt you will either.
[Of course, our options here are incredibly limited, and killing Jack didn't exactly solve the problem in the first place. But this is how Yeager's choosing to handle things, so here we are!!]

That bastard's probably scheming up ways to get the jump on us--and Davy's the only thing keeping him from making a move right away.
[He sucks in a breath through his teeth.]
He mentioned something about a ritual. I'd only guess that it requires the sacrifice or death of people aboard this ship to complete it.
no subject
[The rules of this game and the motives also make sense with that in mind.]
But we don't really have anything solid to explain just what that ritual could be for... That's what we really need to figure out, I think.

It's always one of three things--money, power, or revenge. For some reason, I don't think money's what the "Captain" is after.
[A pause.]
Davy seemed knowledgeable about it. If Jack's dead, doesn't that mean that his office is free to be investigated?
no subject
[Which leaves power, and you can never have enough power.]
I certainly hope that's the case, but I think we need to be careful. If Mr. Jones is able to calm that thing down, it may decide to take up residence in there - especially if there's something in there it doesn't want us to find.

I don't doubt that it's already making plans. Whatever it wants from us, it wants badly. And I have a funny feeling that's gonna reflect on whatever rules it puts forth.
[Speaking from the future on Tuesday--it's bad!!!]
no subject
[Eventually. And definitely not by Tuesday, oh god.......]

[Constantine pauses, running a hand through his hair.]
Maybe we're just going about this the wrong way. Maybe we're missing something right beneath our noses that'll tie this all up.
...Or maybe I'm just gettin' desperate.

[If someone found something and forgot to tell anyone before they died... But hopefully that hasn't happened.]

We can call a meeting later in the week--one that helps us go over everything we've encountered so far. The more comprehensive, the better. And maybe, if things go well, we won't devolve to putting things on bulletin boards and connecting 'em in a tangle of red string.
no subject
[strangled by red string............]
But yes, that sounds excellent. We should hopefully be able to make sure everyone's on the same page, at least!

I haven't really gotten anything from the machine, though. Just a strange gun that squirts water.
If I could use my artes, I'd be able to use my pendulum again.
no subject
[He considers that, twirling the pen between his fingers as he thinks.]
How useful do you think you'd be with throwing knives? Not that we have proper throwing knives, but I can let you borrow a few of my regular ones to practice with. A pendulum would require precise aim to be effective, ja?
[That's the closest he's got, anyway, that's not a weapon type in Vesperia!!]
no subject
I'd need to practice with the weight of the knives, but I think I could manage.
no subject
[He reaches inside his suit jacket and just... pulls out two knives?? You absolutely can catch a glimpse of more hidden in there as well??]
Knives aren't really my specialty, but I know the basics and can help if you need some pointers.
no subject
Er, sure.
[So he'll take one of those knives in his hands to get a feel for it. I don't know what I'm doing here but Zaveid definitely does.]
no subject
They aren't nearly as lightweight or precise as a proper throwing knife would be. But knives are straightforward and easy enough to use; should you need to defend yourself up close, you'll be fine. As for target practice... We can handle that at some point; I've still got some of those abominations Freyja made!
[............the sad thing is he legitimately is trying to be helpful.]
