Receive them into a twinkling star
[When the remainder of the passengers returns to the ship, Flayn steals away to read what Constantine gave her upon their parting. She reads it, and cannot find it in her heart to burn it.
Well. With the rest of the letters from the dead it goes. They'll all be on her person, now, which is the safest place she can think to keep such precious words.
Quietly, privately, Flayn comes to Lelouch to ask for his assistance, and soon enough pieces of paper with Flayn's lovely handwriting find themselves slipped under your door.
Please come to the Pub on the seventh floor this evening, so we may not spend this dark night alone.

No more hiding.
Between Lelouch actually knowing how to cook, and Flayn being a doggedly determined young lady, the pub is much more hospitable when you arrive. There are homemade snacks as well as...McDonald's milkshakes and apple pies? And all manner of sweets brought over from the various floors of the ship, as if in Jasper's honor. Lengths of relatively subdued fabric have been cut from bolts in the crafts room and laid out over the tables and bar, and there are even some various liquors put out if you feel like getting absolutely wasted. We're all kind of fucking sad at the moment, it's fine. It's fine. Just eat before you imbibe, please.]

N-No, this won't be anything a night of sleep isn't gonna solve, although...it'll be strange to be there and know Jasper won't be coming. It was just for two months, but he almost feels like a significant part of everyday life by now.
[You get used to seeing the same person every night, crossing words with him and what not. He'll really miss Jasper]

[Somehow room #13 was untouched by death despite Zaveid being cursed and Yeager being Yeager.]
We'll just have to work hard to... to figure out a way to find them and bring them back. I'm not entirely sure how we'll do that just yet, but I'm sure we'll be able to sort it out.

[...that probably means John thought of something about that? That's what he understands from that. Part of him wonders if he's overthinking it, really -- because what if Constantine was being straightforward for a moment and everyone is truly dead? Well, nothing he hadn't already prepared himself for, really. Death is usually permanent]

But this world works differently from what I know, and if I can trust Constantine with one thing, it's that he's confident in whatever plan he has. If it was just his own life at stake, I'd be more skeptical - but he took Jasper with him. A commitment like that... I can't see him doing something like that if he wasn't certain his plan would work.
[It's a huge gamble, certainly. But Constantine has to know what he's doing, because the alternative isn't something Yeager's willing to entertain.]
So... Let's try to trust them, ja? We need to focus first and foremost on our own situation, and once that's handled we can see what we can do for them.

[Well, truthfully, even if Jasper hadn't been in with the plan, he'd still have seriously considered believing in Constantine because really, Filbo is too softhearted not to]

[Hopefully whatever it is for the deceased is something that they can actually handle, because we haven't even got our shit together, there's no way we're helping you guys just yet.]
We'll figure it out; we always do! So let's see what else we can find and what new places open up for us to explore.

[Turns out they get a wave pool, hah]

[Probably won't, but to Filbo it doesn't seem like a bad idea]

[He snaps his fingers as something occurs to him
because I'm a dumbass and forgot until just now.]The theatre! Where Mr. Jones usually is - I think that would be an excellent place to get a better look as well. I considered trying to find a way to look through it more thoroughly early on, but he's always been in there and it would be rude for me to ignore him to look around.
[did he ever just ask davy jones if he could look around? no. yeager is a very dumb smart person.]
