There's always a lighthouse
[ Blinking, bruised, but not defeated, you all stumble forward into the light. It's a quicker and easier trek downhill to the beach than it was up to the lighthouse by far - especially, perhaps, for those of you eager to see your previously fallen fellow passengers.
LeChuck comes with you, of course - not that he has much other choice, struck low by the Ultimate Insult as he is - and already on the beach or upon the ship they sailed from hell itself are the dead, ghostly but present. You can touch them, there's just a weird glow and you can kind of see their skeletons?
Jones, for his part, stands on the deck of the Dutchman, a plank lowered by his crew to the sand below for anyone who wants to speak with him. There will come a time to decide what to do next, but for now... focus on reuniting and figuring out what happens to that mean ol' LeChuck now.
Welcome to your Golden End. ]
(ooc: Congratulations, everyone! Feel free to mingle here to your hearts' content - tomorrow afternoon or evening, your ride home will be resolved, and that'll lead to an optional mingle with any Round 1 characters who wish to join and commiserate about the experience!)

How are you doing that?

Surprise! It's magic.

Wow! I had no idea. I've never dealt with that sort of thing before. [ her tone goes back to normal as she golf claps: ] What kind of magic, though?
no subject
[ This has clarified nothing. ]
no subject
Oh, really?
[ Her eyes kind of sparkle a little bit. ]
You don't think that'd be something you'd be able to show me, would you? I have a lot of elemental magic, but it's been years since I was able to do anything with dark magic.

[ This is truly just me playing freeform bullshit jazz, but also: it's Magica playing freeform bullshit jazz! Who cares if it was just her and Poe's thing? It's the family legacy now, baby! ]

Well, I'm sure you won't be surprised that I am more than fine with a little grave robbing.
[ The learning multiple languages is a bit more daunting, but if it's what she's gotta do!!!! ]

[ But after the sarcastic drawl: ]
Are you actually being serious? Hate to undermine the general air of insincerity we have going, you know, but...
[ Look, she's gathered that Alice is a megalomaniac who'd probably be happy to use acquaintances for magical knowledge, but she'd probably also be happy to feign interest in something as the setup to a cruel joke! And both of these are fine and admirable qualities! ]

Of course I'm serious, Magica. If there's one thing I am always serious about, it's gaining more power. Even more, so, now. I refuse to get caught like this again.
[ Magica of all people(?) should understand that, right? Alice feels like she'd be the one person(?) who gets it. Other than Decus, at least. ]
I won't be offended if you aren't interested. I'm sure you have a very, very busy schedule to get back to. Being a party magician and all.
[ Okay, now she's joking. ]
no subject
Oh, ha ha, I've... actually, wait a tick. How do you feel about magically terrorizing small children? Just as a sort of apertif.

I'm not sure how much of a help I can turning things into rats, admittedly. [ Which means she'll be no help whatsoever. ] I can freeze things, if you need that done.
[ There's also some other elemental-y things she can do, but... ice is sort of her thing. ]

[ this is how she ends up in FOWL prison in the series finale, I guess? just a direct magical assault on funzo's? ]
... Point being, if you seriously want to learn anything from me, at least one of us has to take a detour to the reality where my magic originated.
[ it couldn't possibly be worse than training lena, right ]

That's fine, I don't mind going wherever we need to. I pride myself on being relatively flexible.

Wait, if we have to go to where you got your powers, how would that work, exactly? Is everyone from your world... y'know.
[ She holds her hands in front of her mouth like she's pretending to eat a sandwich, trying to indicate a bill. ]

slowly contemplating... ]
Good question. I mean, there's a whole contingent of aliens living there now, we could work with that... or you could just say I cursed you with a truly hideous disfigurement.
