Week 1
Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.
There may not be much light to differentiate the days here, but the lights of the part of the city you're in change enough by the clock that you can almost believe there's a sun somewhere. It looks like Mayor Fontaine has no intention of going back on his deal, and for the time being? You're all stuck here. But there's plenty to do, and... maybe not plenty to see, but there's enough. There's something, at any rate.
Especially if you're willing to look beyond the surface.
And if you spend enough time around others, you might find something neat!
No matter what, it's time to start getting to know your fellow captives. You might be here a while.

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

front of Helios suites
Is he …?
[And then he goes. And Misfire is delighted.]
Haha! He’s actually doing it! The absolute madman!
[Misfire approaches closer to the front, even though Obi is getting further and further away, and cups his mouth to yell up at him.]
Hey! Loser! How’s the view?
no subject
Lousy!
[<3]
Hey, while you're down there, mind holding these for me? Thanks! You're a pal!
[Without waiting for an answer, Obi unclasps the stupid little shoulder-cape thing he's been wearing and lets it fall, followed by his overcoat. He doesn't seem to fear freeing one hand to do this, even if he's a decent way up.]
The windows I've passed have been boarded up so far, but you never know, right? Onward and upward.
no subject
Whilst Misfire holds his hands out to catch what Obi’s throwing down, but he’s just standing and reaching in the wrong place that it ends up landing in his face instead.
Eh, whatever works.]
If you fall off, I’m keeping this!
[A cape really isn’t a viable wardrobe choice, considering the whole wing thing. Absentmindedly, he fumbles around for any pockets on this thing.]
How boarded up are we talking? You think you could peep in or pull it off?
[Was there a rule about property damage? Eh - he can’t remember.]
no subject
[The cape is just a useless piece of fabric, and while the coat may have pockets, they’re empty. That probably says less about Obi’s propensity to carry things and more about the likelihood his things were taken, so better luck next time, Misfire!
Unburdened, Obi climbs further, but chances another look down.]
…Are you going through my pockets?
no subject
Misfire looks up, frozen, like a deer in headlights.]
…
…
…Maybe
no subject
Sorry, bud, I got nothing on me. They took everything I had before I woke up here. What would you look for, anyway?
no subject
Something important I could hold over your head as a bargaining chip later on?
no subject
no subject
[He's just gonna. Fold the coat over his arm now. Give it a gentle pat. A light dusting off.]
That's where the fun is: the luck of the draw. 'Course, that means zilch if they're going to rob you before any of the rest of us have a chance to. I'm gonna put that down as another transgression Fondant's committed against us.
[The chances of him ever respecting Fontaine enough to get his name right are in the negatives.]
...Anything more exciting up there than boarded windows?
no subject
Not yet. It's too bad. I wonder if there's a way inside from the roof...
[Unburdened from his heavier outerwear, Obi clambers even more freely upward like a weird, lanky squirrel. He peers into the next window up and shakes his head again.]
Nothing to see on this floor, anyway. What do you think, should I keep going?
no subject
[Keep going, lanky squirrel.]
no subject
What's a... what-you-said fence?
no subject

[And now, Misfire is faced with two moral paths. Whichever he chooses, there's no going back.]
...Don't worry about it. I'll give you the run down when you find out.
no subject
[He manages to look mock-offended, even way up there, and puts a hand to his heart.]
I thought we were pals!
no subject
We can't be pals; I don't even know what Obi is short for yet!
no subject
[...Purportedly.]
no subject
[He huffs, indignant. Then, after a moment, tilts his head with a squint.]
Really?
no subject
[That's not the problem here, Obi.]
no subject
[You don't see shit, Misfire.]
What's the fake one?
no subject
[>:(]
no subject
You drive a hard bargain. [Ugh!] Fine! We're pals. Official.
