It's difficult to say what he's doing in there; there's no sound outside of the room to imply that he's doing anything at all. Maybe he isn't. It's hard to tell.
He'll be out a little while later, though, sitting in the lobby in one of the small sitting areas; he's claimed one of the little coffee tables, and on it is...well, that sure is a random assortment of crap out there with him. He's toying with the crystal ball in particular right now, just turning it over in his hands and looking very intently at it, but that doesn't stop him from greeting anyone who approaches him with the usual smile and gentle look in his eyes.]
