Funeral Service for Adaman and Hodaka Morishima
[ An hour or two after the first trial's end, Hild and the Undertaker set out to invite as many people as possible to the Restaurant for the funerals of our dearly departed friends.
Why the restaurant of all places? Because there aren't enough chairs and tables elsewhere.
Indeed, some of the tables have been moved against the wall to make room for the seats. The chairs have been set up in four rows of six, like an improvised theater or a church. To the side, a small buffet has been set up courtesy of Obi, Mafuyu, and Hild. As for the main event? Two tables have been set up and decorated in black fabric and white flowers. In lieu of a live viewing, two drawings referenced from the profiles have been set up in the center of funeral wreaths... They're not the best, due to the artist's handicaps, but it does look like Adaman and Hodaka at least.]

"It's nice. I'd recommend trying it. Taking care of something... It can be nice."
...Right. Taking care of something instead of focusing on himself sounds like a good idea. Leafeon needs help too, and Rossiu can at least try to provide that.
For the time being, he focuses on telling Leafeon what transpired and taking one (1) very sad fox to go get food. Thanks to one of Adaman's letters, he at least knows what to feed Leafeon!! You can find them in the restaurant near the back having taken some chairs that weren't used for the memorial service, where Leafeon is sitting in a chair and nibbling on the snacks Rossiu has picked out for him. Rossiu himself looks up when you approach.]
How are you holding up?
[Or, if you're someone Adaman has left a letter for:] Here, Adaman left this for you. [Take your incredibly upsetting deadletter!! Rossiu has not read it, don't worry.
While he won't participate in the memorial service properly, Rossiu and Leafeon will remain for some time, watching the others. Rossiu seems to have settled a bit, though the result is that he's just sort of blank... Well, it's fine, surely.
Eventually, Rossiu finds himself back in Adaman's room. At first he starts cleaning up almost mechanically, as if there's really any point in that. It's something to do with his hands and it feels better to leave the place in somewhat decent shape. Leafeon really did a number on this place so it isn't as though he's going to be able to fix everything up, but he does his best. If you come by now, you're welcome to help?? Maybe don't try to loot the place while he's here.
If you swing by later... you'll find Rossiu is still in here, but this time kneeling before the window, hands clasped in prayer. It's been seven years since he last prayed to anyone, but it only seems appropriate now. You might catch him specifically praying to Almighty Sinnoh, or maybe he'll notice your presence before that.]
...Ah. My apologies, I was just... saying a word for the departed.

Today was such a bummer! Would've preferred a sweet collection of bum-bums to that, but
t, eugh.Do you need any help sortin' his things?
no subject
No, I... didn't plan on going through them any further than I already have. I just wanted to tidy up in case Leafeon wants to remain here.
[Which he probably will, our leafy friend comes and goes as he pleases.]

He is miserable on the inside, not one to walk around in his cajones all willy-nilly most of the time, especially not in front of these goons, but tonight he can't help it.
Dandy is exhausted. He'd like the opportunity to just be a louse for an evening.]
Oh, yeah! Good ol' Salad Fingers. Or should I say, "Salad Paws?"
What are we supposed to feed that thing?
[The joking might seem out of place however...]
Croutons?
[As soon as that punchline is delivered, Dandy's smile droops a little.]
no subject
Leafeon huffs a little at that, but he doesn't seem truly bothered, at least not until Rossiu laughs and he glances over. It's a soft, somewhat awkward sound and it doesn't last long, with Rossiu shaking his head after he recovers.]
Not quite, but I appreciate the attempt.
[Hold on, he's got a note here...]
Adaman left instructions just in case something happened to him.
[i'm gonna guess we feed leafeon salad but since i do not know i will refrain from commenting further until sable's got that one finished!!]

It seemed like you two were bosom [coughs] buds, so I was gonna offer my condolences, but...
[His shoulders heave up and down.]
I guess I don't really know what to say.

Adaman’s room
He hears the prayer to Sinnoh before he clears his throat so he’s not eavesdropping any further.]
Hey, Ross? D’you…mind if I join you in that?
no subject
Oh... Of course I don't mind. I'm... not very practiced and I'm not entirely sure the proper way to pray to Almighty Sinnoh, but...
[He trails off there, then shakes his head and moves over so Hagakure has enough room to join him.]
no subject
S-Sorry, man, I didn’t mean to startle you.
[With Rossiu’s permission though, he enters. Leafeon gets some comforting pets before he goes to join Rossiu in prayer, but he does promise Leafeon he’ll have more in a minute.
Once he’s next to Rossiu…]
I can help, if you’d like. I don’t follow any one particular god, but I do pray to many on the regular. I think they just like hearing from us in general, and even though I don’t know Almighty Sinnoh that well, Pokemon are like, super compassionate. It probably can’t be much different.
no subject
Yes, that's what I think. Adaman surely wouldn't have been this devoted if they didn't have a good reason for it.
[He takes a moment to breathe before glancing back over.]
I would appreciate the assistance, though.
no subject
[Hagakure also lets out a breath before closing his eyes and clasping his hands in prayer.]
Almighty Sinnoh…’sup.
[We’re off to a great start.]
This is Hagakure and Rossiu. We’re, uh, not from your world, but we hope this prayer reaches you anyway, because we met a really cool follower of yours—Adaman—and we want to make sure he gets back to you safely. It’s…not the way anyone would’ve wanted, but he needs you now more than ever. And though you don’t know any of us, could you just keep an eye out for Leafeon at least? We’re gonna do our best to take care of him until he can see Adaman again, whenever that is.
[He looks over to Rossiu now that he’s given a Hagakure brand prayer example. They can say their pieces before wrapping it up.]

[Brett seems a little out of it, and also a little surprised to be approached. Still, he reaches out to take the letter.]
Thank you. [He looks at it for a moment, then puts it in his pocket without opening it.] He left letters?
no subject
Yes. It was... in case something happened to him. I thought it only right to deliver them.
no subject
[And rightly so, obviously. It just hadn't occurred to Brett to do any such thing.
.....]
How's Leafeon doing?
no subject
As alright as he can be, given the circumstances. He's very strong; I think he wants to be around people right now.
[Leafeon certainly hasn't forgotten Adaman's last request, after all, and he looks up when he hears his name. Hi, Brett, do you want to come sit?? Leafeon moves so he's taking up exactly one chair with space beside him if Brett wants to join him.]

Doesn’t make it any easier. Specially when… there wasn’t really a purpose, this time.
no subject
You're right. This wouldn't have happened were it not for the Mayor.
...I've seen many people die, but it will always be difficult.
[Or maybe he just forgot how much it hurts because it's been seven years of peace.]
no subject
You know, I've never looked at a murder and wished I had done it before but... this is only going to get worse, huh?
no subject
I sincerely wish that it wouldn't and I do hope we're able to find some way to put an end to this... but until that time, yes. I don't know what the Mayor will have prepared for us next, but I can only imagine it will be horrible.
no subject
[She has too much pop culture in her head at all times.]
no subject
[Wow, that sounds fucked up!! But also Rossiu basically never has free time to watch tv or anything so he's no expert here.]

For me? You sure he didn’t misspell someone else’s name really, really badly?
no subject
It looks very deliberately written. I would be surprised if he somehow messed up that badly.
[He hasn't read it so he can't confirm beyond that, though.]
no subject
...Geez. [The word comes out in a heavy exhale.] Can't believe he prepared for this.
[He accounted for the possibility instead of just insisting it wasn't there. There's something in that for leadership material. His sister really did teach him well.
Misfire would quickly pocket the letter, except he doesn't have those. It ends up clutched in his hand.]
You get one too?
no subject
I... Yes. He left one for quite a few people. I think he wanted to encourage us in his own way, especially if...
[If he didn't come back. Rossiu shakes his head.]
