Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

It's a strange sort of feeling, waking up on Sunday. Not the least because, well... you fell asleep on Friday, didn't you? Whether you sleep or not, none of you remember Saturday. Everything, by all accounts, seems to be Sunday. Weird.

It's not all bizarre feelings of lost time that you have to show for your efforts, though - it seems that another wing of New Rapture is ready for you. Perhaps there's more information to be found about your situation there... and maybe more about the history of this place, if that interests you.

There are still 23 of you left... Keep getting to know them. There's regains to get, after all!

[She isn't really planning to stop by the ice cream parlor, at first, until she notices Misfire in there. Just... what's he doing here?

So, she enters.]

[Hi Mafuyu. He's being a gremlin.]

Yeah! You know, it looks like one thing, but that's just a cover-up for being something else. A 'more than meets the eye' kind of situation.

[winks at the camera]

I'm not expecting criminal activity - but I'm expecting something. Goodies. Useful bits. Nothing too horrific.

[sastruga]

Technically speaking, isn't everything here criminal activity?

[Maybe not by the rules set by the Mayor, but like. Sane people laws.]

[dullshooter]

...That's a point I hadn't considered.

[This changes the game.]

If it's a criminal activity within a criminal activity, does that cancel them out?

[sastruga]

I don't think the law operates on a "two wrongs make a right" policy, so likely not.

Though I suppose it's hard to say how much any crime counts here.

[dullshooter]

Once you start considering that all laws are basically fake and made up, you could say that none of it does in the grand scheme of things.

[Be gay, do crimes, etc]

The same is true for most things we do in society, though.

[it's all fake. we invented all of it.]

Honestly, I meant more because even putting aside the issue of us all being from vastly different places, I'm pretty sure being here counts as being out in international waters.

[dullshooter]

Probably literally.

[There's no surrounding water for him to gesture to, but surely the gist is gotten.]

It's less my belief in the virtues of government than it is just not seeing Fontaine as the type. We might as well make the most of it, right?

[Any excuse.]

...The rules are pretty lax, aren't they? Other than the obvious caveats protecting himself and preventing us from breaking the glass to the outside, we can do basically whatever we wish here.

So then... just how do you intend to make the most of it, Misfire-san?

[dullshooter]

[The 'Misfire-san' makes him start, though it's not said with the same terrifying aura as he heard it (at numerous points) in the trial.]

Oh...you know. Good-natured disorderly conduct. Misdemenors. Looting. Vandalism. The kind of stuff you can't get away with in the presence of civil society.

[sastruga]

...Well. I suppose in a situation like this, I can't really disapprove. [So she says, but there's a slight warning to her voice.] Just make sure you don't break anything important, alright?

And don't make too much of a mess of things.

[dullshooter]

[He shivers. He can’t even shiver. He’s made of metal.]

Mm... and what if you break something we end up needing later?

[dullshooter]

[He’s treading carefully.]

[sastruga]

Are you volunteering to fix anything important, Misfire-san?

[He like, half squints as he says it. Is this the right answer?]

Mm, I'm glad to hear it. You must be pretty skilled at repairs then, right?

I've spent enough time rooting around machinery. It's close enough.

[ROBOTS DON'T EVEN SWEAT]

That's good to hear. Now I know not to be worried if anything breaks, because you'll take care of it.
