Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

It's a strange sort of feeling, waking up on Sunday. Not the least because, well... you fell asleep on Friday, didn't you? Whether you sleep or not, none of you remember Saturday. Everything, by all accounts, seems to be Sunday. Weird.

It's not all bizarre feelings of lost time that you have to show for your efforts, though - it seems that another wing of New Rapture is ready for you. Perhaps there's more information to be found about your situation there... and maybe more about the history of this place, if that interests you.

There are still 23 of you left... Keep getting to know them. There's regains to get, after all!

Not as a rule. But this one, it is just so sleek and modern. Something about it catches the eye.

[ The picture on the box, not to mention the box itself, make this blender look like it came from the 1970s at the absolute latest. Nandor picks the box up and shakes it experimentally, like this will accomplish something. ]

And so many speeds! Admittedly, I am not sure why humans would need to liquefy anything, but still... nice to have the option.

Making smoothies, I guess? Milkshakes?

[Could be fun, he supposes, but Brett's not a big smoothie guy. He's not home often enough to bother with fancy appliances.]

Would that not be what the puree button is for? [ Squinting at the box: ] Or the frappy?

[ It's frappé, but Nandor's track record for correctly pronouncing words that end with a -pe is not exactly the greatest. ]

Oh, that's a kind of iced coffee. Not...really sure why it needs its own special button.

[but like WHATEVER I had to google what exactly a frappe was anyway]

... Shit, you can make coffee in this thing?

[ listen I may or may not be just listing the dumbest settings I remember from my parents' ancient Osterizer blender..... ]

I think you probably add the coffee to it. Why, do you...can you drink coffee?

No.

[ he says this with way more "duh" energy than it deserves! ]

But, if you are drinking from a human who's drunk coffee... much the same results.

...huh.

[That's...weird.]

So, ah...did you and Forrest ever...?

[fuckingguy]

[ Nandor shakes his head mutely, and his dumb hairscape follows shortly after. ]

There is blood in the clinic. [ He puts the blender back down. ] Of course, it tastes a little mediciney, but it is for the best that nobody goes around lightheaded.

[inaclearing]

That's good.

[He'd figured he'd go for it now, but they also mentioned talking about it after the trial, and Brett...well, he doesn't know what anyone did Friday afternoon or evening. He was mostly hiding.]

I'm almost surprised he let you have that.

[fuckingguy]

I was as well.

[ He shrugs. ]

But the way I am thinking about it is, if you have a secret vampire around to eventually go into a murderous frenzy, and then the vampirism stops being a secret... really losing the element of surprise there.

[inaclearing]

[Brett snorts slightly.]

I bet he wanted it to be a big dramatic thing.

Yes, that was my conclusion as well. [ With feeling: ] The guy is a real asshole.

[inaclearing]

He really is. Maybe we should have a sharing circle, see if he's got any more fun surprises set up for us.

[ Tipping his head slightly to the side: ]

Do you think that would work? I mean, if anyone else is secretly something or other, they probably don't wish to disclose it. Which is fair enough, really.

[inaclearing]

Not really.

[He was sort of joking, but yeah - he'll consider it for real too.]

I think it would be better to - it doesn't serve anybody to let the Mayor use them as a weapon against the rest of us. It probably wouldn't end well for them, either. But will they share just because we asked? No, probably not.
