Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

It's a strange sort of feeling, waking up on Sunday. Not the least because, well... you fell asleep on Friday, didn't you? Whether you sleep or not, none of you remember Saturday. Everything, by all accounts, seems to be Sunday. Weird.

It's not all bizarre feelings of lost time that you have to show for your efforts, though - it seems that another wing of New Rapture is ready for you. Perhaps there's more information to be found about your situation there... and maybe more about the history of this place, if that interests you.

There are still 23 of you left... Keep getting to know them. There's regains to get, after all!

[ Those can be pretty lengthy... he cups a hand under his chin. ]

Hmm, though if it worked out, is there a point in reminding you of this scenario?

[Obi sits up and rubs his shoulder.]

Prolly not much of one. I'm not the kind of guy who ends up regretting much, so I think this is the best he could do for me. Too bad, right?

[buriedstar]

He did say he came on too hard, though this is almost disappointing.

[ Seo Dawon laughed at his so he gets it. ]

It looks like he might be succeeding in disrupting your sleep schedule, at least. Unless you really just wanted a change of scenery.

[kninja]

He is doing that. I was just about to nod off, too. Gotta admit, I can't really sleep through the sound of getting my rear end handed to me, even if it was years ago.

[buriedstar]

Sleep deprivation is a viable tactic, but I don't think that's what he was really going for.

[ Hmm, imagine? Seo Dawon shrugs. ]

It might be easier this week to deduce who the main suspects should be, smaller numbers aside.

[kninja]

Mmmnnh. I'd rather prevent it from getting to that point, ideally.

[But he ain't wrong.]

In an ideal world, I might agree with you.

[ But he is much too pragmatic to really entertain the thought. ]

[kninja]

Think this'll be enough to tempt someone again? It got real close to the deadline last time.

[buriedstar]

Almost certainly. There's no real way to escape a scenario once it's started.

[kninja]

Yasuhiro said he and his friends managed it eventually.

[buriedstar]

Eventually. I'm not saying it's hopeless or that our "defeat" is preordained. But that it would take a major flag to divert the scenario as it currently stands. And that it won't be easy.

Until then, we can assume that things will follow their course.

[kninja]

What would constitute a, uh... "major flag"?

[He tries so hard every day.]

[ Seo Dawon appreciates it! Probably. ]

Drawing him out here in person, getting Elizabeth to disobey his orders...things like that. Results the scenario doesn't expect, and therefore can't account for.

[kninja]

[Obi isn't sure whether Seo Dawon's getting Eleanor's name wrong on purpose or not, so he doesn't comment on it.]

Huh... Getting him to show himself isn't a bad idea, if we can work out how.

[ I plead sleepy phone tags but he just might so its fine! ]

It's likely integral, for one reason or another. There's a reason he hasn't shown himself in person and even if it's a mundane one, it would provide us with opportunity either way.

[kninja]

I assume he knows a bunch of us would go for his head.

[buriedstar]

Going straight for his head would be too kind~. And I would hope for his sake that he has some way to keep us at bay rather than just plain distance.

Not that it would be a bad thing, for us, anyway.

[kninja]

That it wouldn't.

[Anyway, thinking some more on Seo Dawon's point...]

The usual reason for a man to hide his face is to obscure his identity, right? There's that thing he does with his voice, too. [The audio distortion.] Pretty suspicious, don'tcha think?

[buriedstar]

Usually, yes. I find it unlikely that anyone of us could recognize him, though I suppose it's not impossible.

Aside from that...it's possible he wants to disguise himself to hide a weakness, such as if he was visibly frail or afflicted either with a curse or a disease.

[kninja]

Also, even if none of us would know him previously, if his plans go pear-shaped, it'll be harder for us to track him down for revenge if we don't know what he really looks or sounds like. Could be that sort of thing's happened to him before. Or he wants to throw us off the scent, send us after someone he's imitating.

[buriedstar]

His trace is on all of us by simply bringing us here in the first place. If I could access my skills, it'd be an easy process, at least as far as finding him goes.

His safeguards really only work so long as we're all limited in this place. [ He won't voice it but he's reasonably sure someone else has the skills to go after him too. ]

[kninja]

Hmmm, is that so? That's good to know. I'd like to have a little chat with him myself sooner or later.

[buriedstar]

[ Rather than confirm, Seo Dawon smiles. ]
