Week 3

Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

It's a strange sort of feeling, waking up on Sunday. Not the least because, well... you fell asleep on Friday, didn't you? Whether you sleep or not, none of you remember Saturday. Everything, by all accounts, seems to be Sunday. Weird.

It's not all bizarre feelings of lost time that you have to show for your efforts, though - it seems that another wing of New Rapture is ready for you. Perhaps there's more information to be found about your situation there... and maybe more about the history of this place, if that interests you.

There are still 23 of you left... Keep getting to know them. There's regains to get, after all!

Oh… yes, that is perfectly fine. I will admit that I am not the best at small talk, but you are certainly welcome.

Cool!

[After putting together a nice little bowl of ice cream, he plops down beside Gaius.

...]

Okay, I lied, actually. Would you be down to tell me more of that ancient tech you talked about when we first met? [Taking a spoonful of ice cream:] I guess I ended up being off the mark about this being Atlantis, but at least it didn't seem outta the realm of possibility.

[Is talking about the Allagans a decent distraction right now Gaius...]
howveryglib: gaius looking off to the right... (please do not discuss the chicken thing.)

Oh… yes, certainly.

[He nods, because yeah, actually, it is a pretty good distraction!]

In any event, the technology I was speaking of originated in the Allagan Empire, which spanned the entirety of the known world at its peak. Given its size, even though it is old enough that much of its knowledge has been lost to the ages, ruins and relics from it are not particularly uncommon, though the majority of them are comprised of devices called tomestones that store data on various subjects.
