Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

It's a strange sort of feeling, waking up on Sunday. Not the least because, well... you fell asleep on Friday, didn't you? Whether you sleep or not, none of you remember Saturday. Everything, by all accounts, seems to be Sunday. Weird.

It's not all bizarre feelings of lost time that you have to show for your efforts, though - it seems that another wing of New Rapture is ready for you. Perhaps there's more information to be found about your situation there... and maybe more about the history of this place, if that interests you.

There are still 23 of you left... Keep getting to know them. There's regains to get, after all!

[Mmm. She's right, it worked all too well on all too many of them. That's a bummer to dwell on.]

True enough. Though if it doesn't work this time, maybe he'll change tactics.

Probably. Regardless, I'm sure the returns will have diminished by some point, so he'd be wise to move on.

[ Not for them, maybe, but. It was sort of clear that he wasn't really doing any of this for them, so. ]

Dwelling on regrets isn't going to help anything, anyway.

Nope. It never does, does it?

[Not that that's going to stop anyone from doing so, but.]

You can only make sure to do better.

[ She nods in agreement, her smile softening slightly. ]

You're quite confident, for a human. I don't know too many who are able to look forward with such conviction.

Awh, I dunno about that. I'm just not the kinda guy to stew in that stuff or look for excuses. You can't do anything about it, so better to focus on the present moment, you know?

[He pushes himself up to sit, putting the reminder of failure behind him.]

That's usually more interesting, anyway.

Don't sell yourself so short. There's great strength in being able to do that. It's quite easy to get wrapped up in the past or worry about what the future might bring.

[ She pauses. ]

At the very least, it sounds like she's very lucky to have you to depend on.

I wouldn't call it luck. She won me over the first day we met with no small show of bravery.

Oh?

[ She laughs, moving over to sit on the far arm of the couch, moving her stupid train out of the way. ]

So is it the other way around, then? You depend on her?

[ girlboss rights. ]

[He gathers up his legs to sit in butterfly pose.]

Hmm, do I? Maybe in a way, but I doubt it's what you're thinking. That first show of bravery wasn't on my behalf, but it was impressive all the same.

What'd she do that impressed you, then?

Before she was officially recognized at the palace, someone shot an arrow at her to scare her away from Master. Instead of backing down, she yanked the arrow out of the wall and kept running to find him. I thought, "Whoa, that girl is nuts!" And the rest is history, hahaha.
