Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

It's a strange sort of feeling, waking up on Sunday. Not the least because, well... you fell asleep on Friday, didn't you? Whether you sleep or not, none of you remember Saturday. Everything, by all accounts, seems to be Sunday. Weird.

It's not all bizarre feelings of lost time that you have to show for your efforts, though - it seems that another wing of New Rapture is ready for you. Perhaps there's more information to be found about your situation there... and maybe more about the history of this place, if that interests you.

There are still 23 of you left... Keep getting to know them. There's regains to get, after all!

Not always on my own behalf, necessarily, but yes, I have. I have had to deal with many of His Radiance's enemies as they tried to drive a knife into his back.

You would get along well with Kim Olim, I think. If she should could get past your non-holy typing, I imagine?

Olim is the paladin of Red Lotus, though she guarded all our backs and not solely mine. I'm guessing your Radiance kept you as busy as I kept her, too~.

I am going to presume that is not the person whose voice I heard earlier, then? I will admit, I have difficulty with people particularly devoted to "holy" things, though I would have to meet her to properly judge her.

But yes. He certainly did keep me busy...

Olim-noona was there, but not on the recording. She can be difficult to get along with, but her technique is second to none.

Can I ask what he did to earn your loyalty?

It would truly be easier to list what he has not done for the nation. Solus zos Galvus led us from a tiny nation barely clinging to survival to an empire second only to Allag, and the prosperity and reforms he has brought have allowed our people to flourish, regardless of our origins.

A harbinger of prosperity, change and fortune...it's easy to understand why many, like yourself, would follow him. But I'm guessing those who were used to power before don't appreciate him at all, do they?

There are always those who resist progress on the basis that they now have to work for their place in society rather than having it served to them on a silver platter due to the circumstances of their birth. Even though it has been some time since anyone has targeted the emperor himself, they still try to make things difficult for those with actual skill.

Ah, the entitled and lazy. People like that spend their time whining and feeding their woes instead of doing anything that would actually fix their problem. Or anything at all, really.

At least those who simply complain about their problems can be ignored. The ones I find truly despicable are those who spend their time attempting to tear down their betters rather than improving themselves.

I truly wonder if that is the best idea. I find you have a number of similarities with him, and on occasion people who are alike simply come into conflict rather than get along…

Hm, word of mouth leads to rumors and even those can be as annoying to deal with as physical dissenters.

[ He's not the type to dismiss complaining as harmless but that was likely pretty evident already. Also social media being a thing adds a whole 'nother layer to everything. ]

If that's what you think, then I was right in some way. I won't say you're wrong, but I don't make it a point to start conflict with others. And the opposite is also true, it's possible that we would meet and get along like we've been friends for years.

Not that it's likely to happen either way, as we're both busy people. I'll take that as a compliment though~.

I am not certain you would have the opportunity to meet him regardless. He is going on ninety summers, and his health has not been poor. I would not be surprised to learn of his passing upon my return.
