Week 3
Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.
It's a strange sort of feeling, waking up on Sunday. Not the least because, well... you fell asleep on Friday, didn't you? Whether you sleep or not, none of you remember Saturday. Everything, by all accounts, seems to be Sunday. Weird.
It's not all bizarre feelings of lost time that you have to show for your efforts, though - it seems that another wing of New Rapture is ready for you. Perhaps there's more information to be found about your situation there... and maybe more about the history of this place, if that interests you.
There are still 23 of you left... Keep getting to know them. There's regains to get, after all!

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

[Brett pauses, picking at the grass.]
I didn't...tell anyone that was why I was there. I honestly don't even know why I kept it a secret.
[He was going to, though. Even after everything, if the cabin hadn't ended up in his possession, he'd have kept it to himself. Still trying to keep his distance, perhaps? Hide his vulnerabilities?]

[He shakes his head and tilts it slightly to show he means no offense.]
You talk about others more than you talk about yourself.

[He guesses he does. It just feels natural to him.]
I guess. After a while, it just seemed like it would be strange. I'd let them believe that I was passing through randomly - everything after that was genuine, pretty much, and it just felt like I shouldn't...bring myself into the story.
[He could've asked Howl about Gerda outright. But he got what he needed all the same - and what he needed changed over time.]

['Cause it hasn't for Obi.]

No, not really. Sometimes I think it does, but that's about it.

Is that what you were trying to do?

[It feels a little weird to laugh here, of all places. Then, a second later, it doesn't; it feels a bit like the dead would want that laughter. Like the normalcy of the moment might bring them closer to peace. Obi knows that's what he'd want in their place: to still be part of the lightness of life.]
I was hired for that job by someone else in the palace. It's 'cause of that, though, that I decided I wanted to watch those two--Master and My Lady. They really impressed me.

[He gives a sort of half-shrug.]
It's easy to get sucked in by interesting people.

[Not entirely, of course; they don't really want to spend all year out in Whitetail. Sure is novel, though, having a cabin. He's a homeowner.]
I hope Luca's getting along with everyone...I don't mean to say he wouldn't. Normally it would be fine. But, you know - it's a stressful situation. [they lost his husband???]

[If he can’t be with them to set their minds at ease, he hopes they have each other’s hearts.]
