It's easy to think, with how much... less this week's motive seems to be than the last, that perhaps nothing will happen. But then again, someone was poisoned yesterday, so perhaps you're already on edge. No one could blame you, in this place. Even on the brightest days, New Rapture is dark.

There's no blood in the elevator, at least, but... your radios are all pretty quiet, this morning.

[So once Obi is out of the pool, by some means or another, Forrest will start looking the body over; granted, it takes several deep breaths before he starts, and he spends that time wringing out his dress and making sure that he's at least somewhat focused.

Obi was a good person, he didn't deserve this. But he can think about that later; as with Adaman, he has due diligence to perform first.

So. That's a godawful amount of blood on his shirt; are there any tears on the shirt itself? Either way, he's going to take the shirt itself off once he's assessed it for damage, so he can assess, you know. Obi. For damage.]

[ There sure are! Taking the shirt off is probably for the best, but it is not pretty under there, as his torso has sustained multiple wounds. Like, someone-just-went-to-town-on-him multiple wounds. They're all much deeper than they are wide, consistent with stabbing.

Additionally, for ease of access, there's one wound a little ways away from the others, on his left side that looks like it'll need its own special attention. Which would you like to look at first, the cluster, or the outlier? ]

[ So! We've got three stabs in total. All of these are centralized around the same area, which is Obi's torso. They're closer to the chest than the stomach. ]

[Do they look like they could have punctured anything vital? I'm not going to try to claim that Forrest knows where a human liver is located or anything, but he knows where the lungs and the heart and the general Bad Places To Get Stabbed are.]

[ It's a close call on the cluster, it's all kinda in there? But it's not in the right place for the heart and lungs. He would know that it's in the area that's just...still pretty Bad To Get Stabbed, it's safe to say this is where most of that blood comes from.

Don't count the heart and lungs area out just yet, though. If you're ready to move on, we can address that, if not, we'll put a pin in it. ]

This is the one that got the lung. It's another that's consistent with stabbing, and it's on his left side. ]

[Does it look consistent with the other stabs? Like, was it done by the same weapon, judging by size of the blade.]

[ Same weapon, yes, but it's a little... The angle is weird? The angle is different, from the other wounds. ]

...Is this one from an underhand stab, because that's where my mind went immediately. Does it look like it came up from below, or is it something else?]

[ That's a big yes on up from below. While the cluster stabs all seem from above, this wound slants upward, indicating it was made from a lower vantage point. ]

[All right, excellent. ...Not that it happened to Obi, but. You know what I mean.

Another question regarding the appearance of the stabs, I'm so sorry: how do the wounds themselves look, as in do they seem to have clean edges or did the skin tear? Was the blade visibly serrated, basically. And are all the wounds consistent in this regard?]

[ We're saying not serrated! The wounds are all consistent. ]

[ I did! I'm sorry!!

Thankfully the grisly ones are out of the way. All of these can be found on Obi's arms and hands. They're little cuts and bruises, things that caused him discomfort but not the same grief as what we've already looked at. They're all on the outside of his arms and palms, consistent with defensive wounds. ]

All right, duly noted! Is there anything else about Obi's poor half-dressed body that he should know about?]

[ Aw man, not Obi. Floyd liked him! His shared voice buddy! They hung out in the pillow fort!!! But at least maybe Floyd can help avenge him a little.

Is there anything in the pool to check out? He'll absolutely throw caution to the wind and dive in for it. ]

[ The only thing still in the pool is a large amount of blood that you can pretty securely say came from Obi. You can get a closer look at that trail, to the pool though! ]

[ It's a smear trail, consistent with someone being dragged. It's not just blood, as it looks like there's quite a bit of dirt mixed in with it. ]

[ Dirt, huh? Well, there's only one place where dirt can come from in an underwater city! The killer had to have dragged him from the garden to here, then. Yikes. But for what reason?

Is there anything else along the smear trail before it hits the garden area? ]

[ There is not! If you follow it, you'll find yourself in the garden, probably running into Rossiu. ]
