It's easy to think, with how much... less this week's motive seems to be than the last, that perhaps nothing will happen. But then again, someone was poisoned yesterday, so perhaps you're already on edge. No one could blame you, in this place. Even on the brightest days, New Rapture is dark.

There's no blood in the elevator, at least, but... your radios are all pretty quiet, this morning.

It's one thing to see a good friend die so suddenly on you, quite another to watch her descendants dying from those same mistakes. Never gets easier to bear...

It simply isn't fair! I could have... I could have at least gotten help if he ran into trouble, or tried shielding him...

[His tears die down, briefly, so he can firmly state what's been on his mind the moment he realized Obi has been murdered.]

You know Fontaine will be killing whoever murdered our dear friend either way. If you want to see that man dead and live to tell the tale, then we only need to catch the culprit to have your revenge.

Wouldn't it be more satisfying to see that fellow die an ironic death?

[He's quiet for a moment. Deep down, he knew it would be the best option. He's sure Obi wouldn't want to see him so soon in the afterlife. He's sure the children wouldn't want to see him strangle the life out of someone.

I suppose it would be my punishment for not being able to protect those I love.

Poor thing... Someone like you, who has been through plenty of torture as it is, does not deserve a fate that cruel. You realize that, don't you?

[He feels selfish saying this. There were plenty of other people here being tormented, including children. Who was he to act like he was the only one being tormented here.]
