Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

Sunday arrives ahead of schedule again, bringing with it the creeping dread that this is just how this is going to go. Welcome to the murdergame cycle.

At least there's another section of the city available to you! This one even has some things to do without you having to make your own fun. Which also means there's more to find about this place.

There's still over 20 of you alive... maybe that's something to celebrate? It could be worse! But... at least one of you is an attempted killer, apparently. Either way, better keep talking if you want regains!

[Cool! Brett doesn't recognize any of these! Assuming that diamond one isn't actually supposed to be a hazard symbol, anyway.

Are any of these given a place of precedence, as far as he can tell, or is it just a Wall Of Stuff?]

[ There are some people who'd probably take it as a sign to stay away!

They seem to range in size more than they have places of particular precedence - those four, for example, are on the smaller side. They're also all removable, assumingly so that they could be taken elsewhere and used if like. "In front of everyone else" didn't do it for you. ]

[...this gives Brett a lot of ideas for experiments relating to Nandor, but he probably wouldn't want to participate in something like that, huh

He'll grab one off the wall, though, just to see if anything happens. The diamond one, let's say, since it's smaller and doesn't look too heavy!]

[ The man licks multiple dried blood samples for you and you kill him.

Nothing in particular, though it makes it clear that the dust in here settled over the symbols, rather than under. ]

[Hm. Well, he'll stick it back in, then.

If we're done with this wall o'stuff, he'll go to check out the altar next! Feels very horror-movie-esque, maybe a demon will jump out.]

[ It sure is, huh? There's a bunch of different holy books in a shelf on the priest's side, but the top of the altar is currently undressed. ]

[Holy books! Are they recognizable to Mr. Regular Earth Guy here?]

[bathymetric]

[ There's a King James Bible on top, at least! And some other Standard Earth holy books, as well as things like The Scriptures of Martel and other assorted books you've never heard of. ]

[Well, you put that in bold text, so he'll pick it up and flip through it. Maybe it's a weird one from a different universe that involves Kraalnor the Soul-Eater or something.]

[ The bible looks pretty normal! However, in grabbing it, there's something carved into the underside of the altar. ]

[inaclearing]

[Oh? Let's get down there and check that out.]

[ It says REVELATIONS 3:22! ]

[inaclearing]

[Okay, let's flip to that in this handy-dandy Bible, then! Brett doesn't know this verse off-hand because he's normal.]

[ He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. ]

[inaclearing]

[Hm! Is there like, an organ in here or anything like that?]

[bathymetric]

[ Nope! Though, while you're looking for one... is there a weird hum somewhere in here? ]

[inaclearing]

[Huh. Like a mechanical sort of hum? He'll look around to see if he can figure out where it's coming from.]

[ Seems to be coming from the floorboards in the corner. ]

[inaclearing]

[Oh, great. The old man's still-beating heart.

Brett paces closer, peering. Is there a way to pry these up by hand, or would he need tools?]

[ Upon closer inspection, looks like there's a knot you could use as a grip to remove one of the boards! ]

[inaclearing]

I really hope there isn't a body under here...

[But he's removing it!]

[bathymetric]

[ If there's a body it's, like... a borrower, or twelve borrowers, certainly not a person in this metal box. ]

[inaclearing]

[Hey, we're in the multiverse now, it could be a mass Borrower grave! But probably not, so Brett takes it out. Is it locked?]

[ It is! There's also a note taped to the top. ]
