This week's promises were a little weird. From a threat, to an opportunity, to... This has been the closest to a full-on bribe Fontaine's gotten. You can't say he doesn't give you taste of what's to come, but is anyone going to take it? Maybe with the group vandalism you all did, feelings are high for sticking it to the man instead of biting at the obvious bait.

Of course, if you try to use the plasmids you'd previously injected, you'll find none of them will work. That's probably not a good sign. Honestly, giving a bunch of people dangerous injectables... What was the Mayor thinking?

Wait. That's the point, isn't it? Better get looking...though you may not have to go far at all.

[ Nandor, unsurprisingly, abandons the scene of Hagakure's pepto bismol massacre. His blood is distinctive enough that it won't need to be taste-tested for trial accuracy, and also there's an awful lot of that blood around! But Jason... he might be necessary for Jason. If he had been around to look at Obi personally, and not stayed up in his room like a ninny, they might have ended the last trial a lot sooner and spared themselves a lot of yelling and heartbreak. He knows what must be done.

So, after a quick stop at the clinic to ensure he's not going to get the munchies at a crime scene, he goes to the church. A low hiss emanates from the back of his throat as he squares up outside the door. After a few seconds of steeling himself for an excruciating run in and out, Nandor strides forward and flings the door open before storming inside. It's very much a warrior's charge combined with MOM HOLY FUCK, and he might already be gritting his teeth and growling! And once he's in there?

Nothing happens. He's dead quiet for a good ten seconds, waiting for his flesh to start smoking, then: ]

[ But, okay, seriously, what's the blood situation here like beyond "a lot"? ]

The blood is pretty localized to Jason, actually! Though speaking of immolation, there is some fire-related evidence to be observed. ]

[ Okay, let's check that out instead of doing a dab of blood in front of God and everyone (everywhere all at once.) ]

[ There appears to have been some kind of firey explosion in the middle of the floor - scorch marks on the ground, and a bunch of fire and force damage to the pews around it. ]

[ He's trotting on over to take a closer look, in that case! How far away is this from Jason's body? Also, are the pews, like... still actively on fire, or just smoldering? ]

[ Just smoldering! It's definitely much more near the entrance than the body, which is at the back of the church. There's also a separate scorch mark on the ceiling, now that he's on this side of the room. ]

[ man it would be really fuckin useful to be able to fly right now...........

Does that bolded separate mean this ceiling scorch is not directly above the explosion? Also, Nandor may not be a smart man, but he's set a lot of things on fire in his day, even discounting the literal pyrokinesis he had up until a month ago. Does it look like anyone tried to put this fire out? ]

[ It is not, no! And there are no signs of anyone trying to put this fire out. ]

[ He'll crane his neck to try and get a closer look, which is pretty damn pointless. About how big is the scorch mark? Is it shaped like anything in particular? Is there anything about it that would suggest a different origin from the ground explosion? ]

[ It looks to be about the same as the scorch marks outside, so... sort of a splotchy shape, but less intense than whatever happened on the ground. ]

Will a closer examination of ground zero reveal anything, or is he just going to get ash on his clothes and whine about it later? Either way it's happening, but... ]

[ Not really, sorry!! There's no sign of residue from an explosive, at least? ]

Anyway, is there any other fire evidence to check out, or should he head over to Jason? You know, just to check and see if the perspective of a prolific murderer who exsanguinates people and Knows Swords will shed any additional light on his manner of death. ]
