Fourth Investigation

It's hard to tell that - of if - the motive has passed. The radios are the same, there are no missing powers, the day begins like any other. But there's something heavy hanging over you, the knowledge that, well... it's Friday. And unpleasant things happen in New Rapture on Fridays.

While we would love to say it's remotely quiet and peaceful, we can't. Helios Suites and the grounds around them are body-free, at least, but... there's a series of booming noises coming from somewhere else in New Rapture, echoing through the empty halls.

Looks like the game is afoot, citizens.

[ Just blood! However, as he's examining, he'll be able to see something...kind of odd about the Undertaker's eyes, the ones he usually keeps hidden behind his hair. They're faintly glowing green, even in death. ]

Huh...

[ Interesting... Very good to know! Anything else body-wise to worry about, beloved mods? ]

[ Not on the body itself, but near it! There's a wooden sotoba just out of Undertaker's reach. It's got some blood and flour on it, but it seems to be in one piece! How sturdy. ]

[ Oh, he's definitely gonna take a closer look at that, and also take it for evidence! Does it say anything on it in particular? Also... is there a trail of flour nearby, or just flour in general? ]

[ Nothing relevant is written on it, and there's no trail...but around where Misfire's looking, there's a lot of flour stains on the floor and counters. ]

[ Interesting! He will take a look over in that area as well then! ]

[ Just in time to watch Misfire get electrocuted...

As you're heading over there, something else may catch your eye, actually, where the jukebox used to stand. It's a lever, or...a crudely made one. It looks like it used to be part of the counter that got blasted off. ]

[ Oh DANG. So the lever just blew off? The heck kinda flour explosion was this? But he'll definitely look at the lever to check if there's anything on it, and also try to find where it belonged on the counter. ]

[ Something blew off, at least! It's just a chunk of...vaguely-lever-shaped countertop that appears to have been dropped where the jukebox once was. This is just a hunk of wooden counter that was strong enough to survive the explosion. Other pieces of countertop lay around that aren't as sturdy, so like, the remains of the glass covering the ice cream, things like that. ]

[ Oooh, gotcha! Other than Misfire getting zapped, is there anything else that sticks out amongst the pieces? ]

[ Not really, no! Just a lot of damaged stuff.

There is something on the opposite counter, however! The one for cutlery and napkins and all that stuff, not caught in whatever made this explosion. It's just beyond the lever and the jukebox (and Undertaker's body, by extension), and it's...red...

It's blood, staining the edge of the cutlery counter. ]

[ Heckin YIKES my dude!! Yeah uh... lets check that out, shall we? ]

[ There's a good amount of blood, dripping from the edge of the counter down to the floor. At about the midway point between the counter with its stain and the Undertaker's body, you have what's probably the source of that:

A bloody knife, standard kitchen variety. ]

[ Oh, yup. He'll just carefully pick that up in a napkin for evidence purposes too! I'm assuming this knife is the same width as the wound in Undertaker's neck? ]

[ It is! ]

[ Gotcha!!! More evidence to bring to the trial! ]

I'm gonna find out who did this to you and squeeze 'em, Barracuda.
