Week 7

Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

Less than ten of you left, now. The halls of your little slice of Rapture sure must feel empty now, hm? Even compared to their general size, you're going to naturally find yourself more and more alone more and more often. That's just statistics.

You may find yourself flagging. You may find it difficult to move on. Your captor has offered you so little respite, so little in the way of answers. The ocean is dark and foreboding. But remember this: in the darkest times, the brightest lights can shine.

As you wake once again on Sunday, there's another wing of New Rapture open to you, smaller than the ones before it. More to see, more to find, as your ally the vending machine might say.

[Noted! ...Lyndon, if you're ever bored and want to share I'm curious about everyone's position on the board. Not necessarily now, and it won't mean anything to Forrest anyway, but I'm curious.

Anyway! Now that that's looked at, is there anything else of note around here?]

[ I'd have to finalize some with Ashley, who's our primary Loki Mod, but yeah potentially at some point!

Nothing much else in this office! ]

[ This office is... much less cute, potentially. It's fancy - mostly decorated in green and gold - but much more scattered are the things in it. The whole thing, despite being secure as any other room in this building, smells like the ocean. There's a desk, covered in gold jewelry and accessories, and an almost throne-like gold and green chair, above which sits this Founder's portrait. ]

[...Good god. He does not know what to do with this, nor does he recognize the lady. I also don't recognize the lady! So this is going to be an adventure for both of us.

...Can he go sit on the chair, because he is very tempted to go sit on the chair. Will it do anything if he does that.]

[ He can absolutely go sit on the chair! It's very comfy and luxurious, which is a weird sort of sensation in an abandoned building like this one. Close within reach is uh. A long-empty donut box - there's actually a few of those around, from the Krispy Kreme in a address located in an area called Fountainhead Square. There's also a typewritten note on the table next to it. ]

[Fountainhead Square, got it! ...Also this chair is fantastic, what the hell. Much better than the Hoshidan throne, which apparently melts people sometimes.

That said, he'll look over at the table, and he will notice the note! He will take a look.]

New Years is fast approaching, and we're going to need more hands on deck before this whole thing splits sideways. I need as many of your little concrete and metal fellas as you can muster out on the streets when the show's going on. I ain't the type to believe in the rebellious element managing much of anything under my watch, but the only way that works is if we're ready to crush em ourselves. Take all of em out of the core of the city and we'll lock up around Helios Suites for the night during the party. Means all the Founders have to sleep in Helios for the night, but that ain't so bad, huh?

[...Oh. Huh. Okay. Now he has a name for the lady! ...And an indication of shit going very wrong in New Rapture, goodness.

Is there anything else around the, uh, throne here, or should he go check out the desk?]

[ Nope, looks like that's it over here! ]

[Let's go poke at the desk, then! I know there's a lot of gold jewelry around that he might...also borrow at some point... But for now he's going to look around inside and see what we've got.]

[ Well one of the drawers is full of assorted gold things which... does include some teeth/fillings, I'm so sorry, but thankfully(?) this super isn't the weirdest thing you've found, Forrest! They're all very clean.

The main thing of note in here is a bunch of crude drawings of dead Power Rangers, which are a little different from the ones at Drakkon's execution but are still recognizable as such, as well as a green glass circle. ]

[...my brain, being stupid, decided to parse this as her having a crude drawing of dead power rangers and also a crude drawing of a green glass circle, which i have only just now realized makes little to no sense and probably is not what you meant.

That said, the teeth are a little creepy - not the worst thing he's ever seen, because he also dealt with Ryuunosuke's happy torture room, but still, eesh - and the crude drawing is... Well, it sure is, isn't it. The green glass circle is interesting, though! He'll pick that up and look it over; are there any marks or notches on it, or indications of what it might be for?]

[ It looks sort of... worn? But also, when he picks it up, there's a slight rattling in the closet, which was open and looked empty, but something has now fallen out of. ]

[...Um????

He will...get up and make his way over there... Is something alive in there, is it yet another animal to foist on poor Brett, is it just something that fell over?]

[ JUST SOMETHING THAT FELL OVER, THANKFULLY... looks like a golden staff was tucked behind the door, and it and the coin are slightly tugging towards one another. ]

[Ooo.

...So if he brings disk a over to staff b, will he get some sort of reaction?]

[ It pops into the staff, as seen in the rita reference image, and the gold sort of melts around it to hold it in!

... It doesn't currently have the power to do much more than that, but like. You're a Fire Emblem, the idea of a magical staff isn't exactly foreign to you. ]

[Well, this is officially another thing he's bringing with him, now. He quite likes magical staffs, and he's going to be spending the evening waving it around in his room and trying to get it to do...anything. He will fail, and he will probably look like a lunatic in front of Rain, but it's worth the attempt.

Is that all we have in here? Rita was probably also nuts, being one of the founders, but again, he's a Fire Emblem, he can dig her dedication to her aesthetic in here.]

[ Welcome to #23! The place is a little Cluttered, presently, with a lot of uh. Statues made of garbage! There's a desk with a number of blueprints and schematics, and a little hammock in the corner for
vibing across from a small television - with a portrait between the hammock and wall-mounted TV. ]
