Good morning, New Rapture. The long night is ending.

Your number is as low as it's going to go. You may not know it for sure yet, but there's something in the cold New Rapture recycled air that suggests maybe things are about to change. An act of defiance against the Mayor actually panned out, and now... the mysteries of the underwater city are beginning to finally reveal themselves to you. How much has been just smoke and mirrors, like the execution room? How much has been real? And how much longer can your captor continue to avoid granting you answers?

No new wing of the city, this week. There are still offices to explore in city hall, if you'd like, but in general you get the feeling that it's going to take a change to make the next new information available. And make no mistake: change is coming, my friends. Stay strong. Stay together. Get any last coins in before the end.

[ This is a much Fancier office, for sure! Lots of wood trim, much more elegant - there's a huge globe in the center of the room, and a number of novel modern conveniences around the space. There's also a desk, as well as a bookshelf.

And, of course, a portrait. ]

[Well, we're off to a much better start!! Let's go with the globe first, since that looks interesting. Any points of interest marked on here? I mean Rossiu's not gonna get them because he's from A Different Version Of Earth, but y'know. It could be important!]

[ It's a very 17th/18th century sort of globe, aesthetically, with a few points of interest! There's a pin in the Bermuda Triangle, as well as a few on the Eastern part of America. Several country names, especially in non-European areas, have been crossed out and rewritten, as though someone was trying to update this old thing. ]

[Huh! Interesting... Most of that doesn't mean very much to him, but it may be useful so he'll definitely pass this information along! Assuming there's nothing else to note about said globe, let's move on to the desk!]

[ The desk features, immediately on its surface, several guides to modern slang, as well as an instructional book for typing. ]

[He'll flip through them briefly to see if anything stands out - any notes or bookmarks or anything important - but honestly, that's fair. Learning to type is difficult and learning slang even moreso.

Assuming there's nothing noteworthy there, are there any drawers to go through?]

[ There are a couple words added into the slang dictionaries with ???? as the definition - and at one point, in old-timey calligraphy: V. Oberlin and G. Graves continue to vex me.

There are a number of handwritten sales records, all very old-timey but written with relatively modern vocabulary, which is weird. Particularly large sales of general supplies go to V. Oberlin, A. Wesker, and C. Sith. ]

[Huh! Well, these might be important. He's going to take those since he doubts the occupant of this room's gonna miss them!! Anything else to note here in the desk, or is it on to the bookshelves?]

[ Nothing else particularly of note in here!

The bookshelves are full of more books about modern life and technology, as well as history and, in particular, pirate lore. ]

[Interesting! Nothing behind the books either, I assume? How about in them? Any interesting marked pages or anything of the sort?]

[ There's a heavily defaced book about a historical couple named William and Elizabeth Turner, as well as a few books on nautical myths, with bookmarked pages about Davy Jones. There are also some notes in those, mostly about trying to figure out where his heart currently is? Weird. ]

[Hmm, weird! That probably has nothing to do with us, right...... (unsure)

Anything else of importance in here or is it time to move on to the last room?]

[ There is a book tucked behind the bookshelf - a biography of Lord Cutler Beckett, who.... apparently just straight up is this Founder. Help Him.

But other than that, that's it for this room! ]

[ This one is... lavish is the best word for it? Lots of silks, lots of mirrors, thick carpeting, fine art... and a lot of flowers, which have by now mcfucking died.

There's a desk, a closet, and a small sewing station in the corner. And of course, in back, this founder's portrait. ]

[ Looks like this lady got really into fashion design! There's a dress here, that makes liberal use of a sort of sun pattern, with a label that says Gothel Designs. ]

[Ah, interesting! Anything else noteworthy about her work here or the designs themselves?]

[ There are very rough designs for a couple of wedding dresses, though it's unclear who they might have been for. ]

[Oh... it really does seem like the people here were having a good time... Any notes or anything on the designs or should we move on to the closet?]

[ No notes, they're very much "okay here's what I'm thinking" rough sketches.

The closet is, first off, full of those heavy-duty anti-aging products from the spa. Like. So many of them. ]

[Ah. Well. Hopefully that ADAM stuff wasn't causing any problems, um. That seems a little ill-advised but sure!! Anything else in here besides a bunch of these anti-aging products?]

[ Mostly a bunch of dresses and gowns, though there is a receipt attached to one of the cases of anti-aging product, it looks like she was at least getting them at a decent discount? But still, woof, someone was not a fan of wrinkles. ]

[Whoof indeed... Alright, onto the desk then! What's up over here?]

[ First off, for someone who was married... damn, there's no pictures of her husband here. Just pictures of herself. ]
