Week 8
Good morning, New Rapture. The long night is ending.
Your number is as low as it's going to go. You may not know it for sure yet, but there's something in the cold New Rapture recycled air that suggests maybe things are about to change. An act of defiance against the Mayor actually panned out, and now... the mysteries of the underwater city are beginning to finally reveal themselves to you. How much has been just smoke and mirrors, like the execution room? How much has been real? And how much longer can your captor continue to avoid granting you answers?
No new wing of the city, this week. There are still offices to explore in city hall, if you'd like, but in general you get the feeling that it's going to take a change to make the next new information available. And make no mistake: change is coming, my friends. Stay strong. Stay together. Get any last coins in before the end.

[ It's skin-crawling to be this honest, especially after all that embarrassing talk of her and Mafuyu before. But she has to ask someone to be honest with her in return right now and no one else quite occupies the same middle ground as Gaius - someone who at least seems to care enough to listen to her but someone who won't coddle her if she needs to be given a rude awakening. Or so she hopes. ]
There are... lots of things that I've done, even back home that... I don't regret. But I know if any if you were to hear of them you might think twice of being so kind to me. Perhaps if Mafuyu knew it all, she wouldn't have been so quick to give me a place at her side.
Is it alright for me to be there with her... even if I don't deserve it?

You are certainly not the only one who has more blood on their hands than they have spoken about with the others, so it is difficult for me to judge you as harshly as you seem to be judging yourself. I think that, through pure luck, you have been gifted a second chance.

I would imagine your situation will not be quite as dire as anything you were dealing with prior, so why not take advantage of the opportunity? You are still young, after all. It is not quite as much of an undertaking to start over somewhere new, especially if you are doing so with someone who is dear to you and who will support you in turn.
