[ That's as good as a note as you're getting as Floyd runs around like a madman today, seemingly determined to have a good time before their abrupt end to this little... experiment? comes to an end, either with them at the top, or being potentially trapped in this watery grave at the whims of the Mayor. And wouldn't it be kind of ironic for the eel of all people to drown here? Wild. But enough about that!

Floyd is hauling snacks to the bowling alley, even though nachos are supplied, but why not! He makes some really good food when properly motivated, it seems. There's shrimp scampi, crab cakes, some nice looking desserts here and there, and also nachos because they looked pretty good. There's also arts and crafts here if you want to chill for a bit instead of bowl!

Honestly, the party was still a pretty good cover too, all things considered. As fun as he wanted this to be, they definitely had things to talk about. When enough people show up, Floyd smiles. ]

Yay, you made it~! Now let's bowl and talk about how we're gonna kick Water Fountain lady's butt! At this point it doesn't really seem like we need to hide like normal meetings. She's probably preparing for whatever happens tomorrow, so you know.

[ He shrugs. ]

Anyways- we've all been too sad and serious lately. It's party time~!

[Brett, perhaps surprisingly, actually shows up on his own. He does still end up spending a lot of time sitting at the arts and crafts table - for once not writing in his journal, but...drawing? After a few minutes, he frowns down at his work.]

[It's sort of recognizable as Adaman, but only due to the general shape of the hair. He's a writer, not an artist! Let's just.......not do this anymore.

As one of the people here who actually knows how to bowl, he eventually does make his way over to the lanes! He'll just start setting up a game on the machine...bumpers on, maybe, he's not that good at bowling and also who cares.]

In a bowlin alley? Feels like that's got a lil bit of a weird energy to it, but-- young people will be what they are.

You shoulda seen those boys, when I flew into town durin' the war. Bigger grins than you'd ever seen. [they'd been grinning for the wrong reason-- but zinda doesn't hold it against them.]

Oh, all over. Blackhawk island was in the Atlantic, but the guys and I flew jus' about anywhere that we thought we could help. Mostly Europe, a lil bit of Asia, Africa-- those were the days.

I don't think so. I get that with the Birds, too. I got lucky-- my Skipper found a good role for me, that I didn' think would exist in modern day. Lets me see the world, fight bad people, help others -- be on a team again.

[Brett listens, blinking slightly - he's suddenly reminded of that conversation he had with Tommy, several weeks ago. The content's not the same at all, but...? Something of nostalgia, maybe?]

You just roll the ball down the lane and try to knock over all the pins.

[Brett's picking up the balls, weighing them, because obviously he has no idea what size he should be using really.]

No one takes it all that seriously. It's really just an activity to do while you hang out - an excuse for kids to get out of the house together. I honestly don't really know how it's scored, other than "more pins is better".

[How many rounds are there in a bowling match? WHO KNOWS]

So it's merely an excuse to spend time together? I suppose that explains why it seems like such a simple game...

[ She's sizing up bowling balls as well and upon realizing she has no way to tell them apart, reaches out to pick one at random. ]

I suppose at this point, anything to take our minds off things is–

I think this one is like eight pounds - oh.
