there's always a lighthouse. there's always a beach party.
[ Welcome to... a very nice beach, actually! It's very pleasant here. Carmen has set up a couple bonfires, there's some barbecues with meat to cook... and a lot of beach to hang out on! ]
Welcome to California's Pigeon Point Light Station State Park! Between Santa Cruz and San Francisco, just south of Pescadero, this lighthouse gets it's name from the Carrier Pigeon, a ship that wrecked here in 1853! ... Sorry, old habit. Go party. We have the whole place to ourselves. Most everyone here's been through something like this, or knows someone who has. And... the vending machine's bringing in some friends of yours, too.
[ It's a warm late summer night - not too hot for bonfires, but not too chilly that you need to stick by them to survive.
You've made it to the end. There are fellow survivors to meet and commiserate with, friends to meet or catch up with, and... it's over. For those of you returning, it's been about a year since the end of Round 2, and Carmen's gotten the word out to as many people as she can between trying to help this round and tracking down Round 0. If you'd like to play a hostage from the first motive, just know that they will remember it, but it's up to the player in the main round if time has passed since then or not so... it may have been a day or two ago or it may have been months! And hell with it, if you want to play a Round 0 character you suggested back in r1, come talk to us. Why not?
EDIT: Asher has gone to the trouble of making a toplevel directory for anyone intimidated by the number of pages!
Enjoy the last log of Unknown Seas! You've earned it. Love meme will come later tonight in the ooc comm. ]

...Well, unlike her dear mother, her choice of attire is. Atrocious, in a word. Absolute blasphemy, in two. You may have to roll a sanity check in order to interact with her, but Plumeria is here in a modified Nick Cage dress and she is all of y'alls problem now. Deal!
She'll happily greet anyone from R2 by the bonfire, grinning a bit as she runs a hand through her hair.]
So. Find anyone interesting among all of our new friends? There's a lot more of them than last time.
[To anyone outside of it, though, she'll definitely be sizing you up a bit if you approach her. Judging, because Plumeria is ever the spiteful little fairy.]
So, dare I ask what sort of absolute nonsense you got up into?
no subject
[That ranks up there as 'interesting', right? Because that was really bizarre, in his opinion, and he's not sure he wants to get anywhere close to that]

A singular eye? Now they're just putting body parts through these experiences? Honestly! It's almost pathetic of them. I wouldn't be surprised if there's more than meets...
[...]
Well, you get what I mean. [...ANYWAY--] I trust you're doing well, Filbo? Come sit a bit.
no subject
[Everything almost felt like a dream once he spent a while at home, but being here sure is reinforcing that no, everything really did happen and there are all kinds of oddities out there. Good to have that reminder!
Filbo sits down, smiling]
Yeah, everything's going well! People were generally...um, more willing to accept I was gone for two months from my job than I thought they would be? It's as if nothing happened.
[Well, that Constantine had been around helped a lot. He had taken refuge in Filbo's world for a bit, and of course, a human in middle of them all drew so many eyes Filbo's absence felt really unimportant]
The most I saw after a while were rumors from tabloids saying I was gone because I had gotten married to a cryptid.
[Once again thanks to Constantine's existence. Some tabloids probably came up with all sorts of weird things to explain Filbo's absence]

[Hmm. Plumeria doesn't like that, and her look sours pretty significantly at that. Not at Filbo, but--]
The least they could do is offer you some concern after being gone for so long. Utterly shameless of them.
[...Married a cryptid, though...]
...Well, it's good to hear that things have at least been entertaining, if little else. I trust that adjusting to life back there is going nicely, at least.

[Compared to the incredibly depressing and negative scenarios he worried so much about, relative indifference was a huge relief]
Yeah, being on land helped. No more ships for me. [Still not over the murdergame, definitely] Have you been doing well? I know...Dokkalfheimr gained a few new residents we both know pretty well.
[Filbo is pretty sure he managed to say the name of the realm correctly, or at least he hoped so. To think Yeager, his daughters, and a buuuuunch of people he knows now are residents of that realm...that's such a huge change, eh?]

You really need to be more assertive. Or demand a little more respect from the people around you.
[But okay, okay, she'll let it go you big blue marshmallow. The question gets Plumeria to chuckle, hiding it--and the grin on her face, for that matter, with her hand.]
So you've noticed! We are doing quite well, yeah; Yeager and Mother wound up talking for a while when he visited us, and he, his daughters, and his men have come to live with us on Alfheimr.
It's kind of noisy nowadays, but I'm finding I don't mind it so much. Certainly makes things a little more lively around the castle.
kill bill sirens
Hm. ]
You're seeing that robot, right? I'm not seeing things?
[ Hi Plumeria! Don't worry about the even, pleasant tone Alice has right now, it's probably fine... maybe. ]
wee woo wee woo WEE WOO WEE WOO WEE WOO
No, you are not losing your mind. That is indeed a hulking piece of scrap metal that seems to have found a life of it's own.
[Yeah, Plum's tone is. Instantly guarded, but sure, let's do this.]
Tch. It couldn't stand to look any less gaudy, could it?
no subject
[ She giggles. ]
You should go talk to it, Plumie. You two can bond over sticking out like sore thumbs.
no subject
[Ah, there it is. Plumeria scoffs, rolling her eyes at Alice and brushing off the statement.]
Please. If it's personality is as atrocious as it looks, the two of you will be like two peas in a pod. I think I'll pass on befriending something that looks like it came from the World of Steel.
no subject
She didn't exactly miss this, because Plumeria grew feelings and also had feelings in the first place, and Alice was always more fun to be bitchy with, but it's still a welcome reprieve from the treacle! Magica flits on over and immediately Gets Into It. ]
Well, [ jerking a thumb in disgust at nandor, and you know what, she's right to do it, she's valid in this one instant, ] that one's definitely a vampire, which probably covers the "eating people" case for this go-round. And of course there's the robot... but honestly, who even cares?
no subject
If he's not a vampire, I'll be really surprised. [Tch.] Hopefully the sun doesn't see it fit to rise too soon, or we're bound to find out either way. I wouldn't be surprised if any of these thin-skinned looking dolts cry.
[jesus christ that man has a wife, plum--]
Not fond of being called here without anything to actually smite, I take it?
no subject
It's so boring, Plumeria! I did not traverse the vastness of the multiverse to play beach volleyball and eat ice cream novelties.
... Ooh, but we could make some little crucifixes out of popsicle sticks and throw them at him! Might be fun.
