Welcome to California's Pigeon Point Light Station State Park! Between Santa Cruz and San Francisco, just south of Pescadero, this lighthouse gets it's name from the Carrier Pigeon, a ship that wrecked here in 1853! ... Sorry, old habit. Go party. We have the whole place to ourselves. Most everyone here's been through something like this, or knows someone who has. And... the vending machine's bringing in some friends of yours, too.

[ It's a warm late summer night - not too hot for bonfires, but not too chilly that you need to stick by them to survive.

You've made it to the end. There are fellow survivors to meet and commiserate with, friends to meet or catch up with, and... it's over. For those of you returning, it's been about a year since the end of Round 2, and Carmen's gotten the word out to as many people as she can between trying to help this round and tracking down Round 0. If you'd like to play a hostage from the first motive, just know that they will remember it, but it's up to the player in the main round if time has passed since then or not so... it may have been a day or two ago or it may have been months! And hell with it, if you want to play a Round 0 character you suggested back in r1, come talk to us. Why not?

I like her company. And talking to her. And even not talking to her. [It’s impressive how much he can downplay his own feelings whilst defending their existence.] And she’s been all alone for ages with only Cipher for company - how sad is that?

[Krok hasn't even met this supercomputer, and he already feels some sympathy for her. Even if whatever Misfire has with her is based on real feelings, she has plenty that's hurt her. Cipher is a human, and humans treat mechanical beings like machines. Tucked away in some computer room with no one to keep her company - what if her AI isn't just code? What if it was someone who was abandoned and whose mind was stolen for the sake of organizing death contests?

Someone with no where to do needs a home.]

When he goes to answer Krok’s question, his grin takes on a shade of embarrassment, but is no less eager.]

The Thinker. I asked Cipher if she’d be able to find a way to get it up and out now that New Rapture is no more — ‘cos they forgave her and we’re cool now? She owes us all one and more, so it’s basically a done deal.

"The Thinker?" That sounds like something Crankcase would come up with. [No offense, but...yes, full offense.] Where's New Rapture? We should come back here some time to move her onto the WAP.

[And then he will finally have someone he can talk to on his crew who won't waste their time watching terrible TV. Maybe she can do a better job at finding his old squad! And then once everyone's rich and has The Thinker guiding them, the Krok will be satisfied with his life. Surely nothing will change his mind in the next few days.]

There's someplace we have to be, Misfire. And we're lucky we didn't lose the job after all this time.

[But Misfire is going to pout and complain the entire way if he doesn't fool around for another hour or so. How long can Demus wait?

...Actually, Krok could use the time to actually rest. Maybe he deserves a little break. And it's not like they have to be back in five minutes.]

Fine. We're staying, but just for a while longer. And just remember that if the others pop in here, do not bring up the sea slug thing.
