WEEK 4
Another trial, another week, and still you're probably running lower on answers than you'd like. And on people - you lost three since last Sunday. By the end of this week, you'll have been here for nearly a full month, yet still the days crawl on.
You wake up Sunday, again with no memory of Saturday, but this time with a simple message on your devices: You may resume requesting items, if you like. Enjoy. Guess it really was just a stealth motive after all, but at least it's being communicated that it's over! That's something, at least.
And when you leave your rooms on Sunday, there's another new area to explore! This one is... certainly more ambitious in its construction than the last one, to say the least. But hey, you have a pretty neat place to host parties, if you feel so inclined! That's... fun...
Hey, you gotta find the fun in situations like this where you can! Silver linings, right?

...Huh. That's good to know - no hangover or anything this morning?

...did I really call you "Wilbur" last night? It's the last thing I can recall.

[She actually sits down to listen, though not right next to him, and Aria moves to lay on her lap slightly.]

First of all, I laid all my cards on the table during the first trial, in front of God and everyone. If anyone kills someone else, I can respect the attempt to get out of here. This situation is what it is, and I'm not going to hate anyone for trying.
At the same time, I'm not going to offer forgiveness, I'm not going to offer them mercy, and I'm definitely not going to be a nice person in getting them to talk. If I hurt their feelings or bring up bad memories in the process or whatever, then I'm not going to be sorry, because they're trying to kill us. If I'm going to apologize to them at all, it's strictly because something out of line happened and not because I'm actually sorry, and it's going to be after we're no longer in danger of dying. You don't get to lecture me in the middle of a trial for hurting people's feelings, because bluntly put? I don't care, and I'm not going to care until we're no longer being threatened. You following me so far?

Sure, I get it. So you're going to assume guilty until proven innocent for everyone? [She waves a hand.] No need to actually answer that, actually. What I really want to know is what you actually meant when you mocked me about "pointing my stick and yelling."

I don't know if you've noticed, Nira, but I'm not a nice guy. I want everyone to get out of here alive, but that doesn't mean I have to be either gentle or kind about it. Did I call you a- ...god, what the hell were you even trying to say, a "stupid, tantruming bitch"? No. Do I think that? Not really. Do I think you all need to quit with the bravado and screaming? Absolutely.
He's targeting people. If you guys want to be first against the wall, go right ahead and keep yelling and making giant passionate displays and see how long it takes you to get smacked down for acting out. That's how places like this work. It's not pleasant, it's not fun, you're not going to accomplish anything if you don't figure out that you need to keep your damn head down. You don't need to be last against the wall in games like this. You just need to minimize your chances of being first.

[She snorts a little at the rest of his comment. Geez, just say "I'm worried about you" instead of getting all stupid and tsundere about it.] I don't plan on making myself an explicit target by breaking rules, you know. But like I told you, I also don't plan on tamping down my emotions anytime soon. And hey, if that helps the rest of you not be "first against the wall," that's just an extra bonus. [She waves a hand casually. She's already made her peace with the idea that Jake will likely outlive her. And she's always been the type to throw her body between others and danger, whether or not she can actually take it.]
