WEEK 4

Another trial, another week, and still you're probably running lower on answers than you'd like. And on people - you lost three since last Sunday. By the end of this week, you'll have been here for nearly a full month, yet still the days crawl on.

You wake up Sunday, again with no memory of Saturday, but this time with a simple message on your devices: You may resume requesting items, if you like. Enjoy. Guess it really was just a stealth motive after all, but at least it's being communicated that it's over! That's something, at least.

And when you leave your rooms on Sunday, there's another new area to explore! This one is... certainly more ambitious in its construction than the last one, to say the least. But hey, you have a pretty neat place to host parties, if you feel so inclined! That's... fun...

Hey, you gotta find the fun in situations like this where you can! Silver linings, right?

[ The cabinets are full of slightly dusty boxes of decorations - strings of lights, plastic flower necklaces, things like that - and in what is perhaps the most important find of all...

Congratulations, Ema, you've found a boombox, complete with a small box of CDs. ]

Oh, now that's interesting...

[ What kind of CDs are we talking, here? Like, Barry Manilow? ]

[ Honestly? Most of them are surprisingly apt, at least for the theme of the place. There's some generic acoustic guitar and surf rock, if you want to go the James "Jimmy" Buffett route there's plenty of him, and an eclectic few CDs from bands you for sure don't recognize! And honestly... no one here would recognize. ]

[ Huh...well, as long as no one's here, we might as well pop one of the mystery CDs into the good old boombox and see what they sound like, while she digs through the fridge. What's the name on this first one, and how does that first ditty sound? ]

[ And then... it was time... for The Clash at Demonhead, apparently. Hey, they're alright! Maybe they're big in Canada.

As for the fridge, there's plenty of the usual Liquor That Needs Refrigerating that one might expect, nothing too unusual. Maybe you'll have better luck in the freezer? ]

Uh, wow.

[ They're definitely not bad at all, in a teen rock sort of way, but a pretty far cry from what she was expecting in a place like this--

Onto that icebox, then! Hopefully no one stuck anything weird in here? ]

[ Yeah, this is definitely an outlier, sound-wise.

Well, there's a couple ice cube trays, some shotglasses, and uh... a decent-sized chunk of ice in the back. ]

[ Okay, so we're not touching that with our bare hands...are there any towels she can put over her hands so she can reach in and pry that bad boy out? ]

[ Oh for sure! It takes two hands, the thing is significant in volume.

There's... something inside it, when you look at it. ]

[ Well, if nothing else, this is definitely the kind of music that seems fitting to smash something open to, because that's exactly what she's going to do once she rests the ice on top of the bar. There are some bar spoons she'd be able to use to chip away at it, right? ]

[ Oh for sure, there's plenty around here to work away at it with.

In the center, there's a small... something wrapped in paper. ]

I'll send you my love on a wire...

[ Let's use our handy dandy garnish tongs and pull this sucker free. It's probably still cold, but let's unwrap this paper as gingerly as we can... ]

[ Tragically, this small chunk of purple rock doesn't sing back, but if it could I'm sure it would!
