Another trial, another week, and still you're probably running lower on answers than you'd like. And on people - you lost three since last Sunday. By the end of this week, you'll have been here for nearly a full month, yet still the days crawl on.

You wake up Sunday, again with no memory of Saturday, but this time with a simple message on your devices: You may resume requesting items, if you like. Enjoy. Guess it really was just a stealth motive after all, but at least it's being communicated that it's over! That's something, at least.

And when you leave your rooms on Sunday, there's another new area to explore! This one is... certainly more ambitious in its construction than the last one, to say the least. But hey, you have a pretty neat place to host parties, if you feel so inclined! That's... fun...

Hey, you gotta find the fun in situations like this where you can! Silver linings, right?

[Well, it's... Sunday morning. Alright. This is just the new thing, isn't it. Saturday straight up doesn't exist.

That's super fine. Great. Okay. He'll sit down for breakfast in the cafeteria with a cup of tea and some sausage and eggs as he gives his device an incredibly nasty look.

So now... it's time to check out the new areas, and they're all weird as hell to a guy from the danged middle ages. He's not even going to bother figuring out the water park outside of just giving it a very confused look when he looks in to see what it... is... but the arcade kind of intrigues him. Especially when he comes across... Sega Bass Fishing.

He is absolutely going to spend most of the day playing Sega Bass Fishing. He is not completely at peace with the world, but you know what? He is having a good time, even if it takes him a little while to get used to given that modern fishing rods aren't really what he's used to.]

...I cannot say it is as good as the real thing, but I'm still enjoying myself.

Everyone has their hobbies. I'm devoted to my magic, of course, but even I had things I liked.

Indeed. Hobbies are a good way to refresh the mind, I think.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not studying?

I have only one thing I'm devoted to now. But... before, I had other things. I liked to work with my hands. I used to sew, things like that.

Things are different now, that's all.

Such focus is admirable, but I think that being too single-minded about something is a bit risky, as well.

[Anna's first instinct is to snap at him, scream, how dare he speak to her that way. But there's no push behind her, the same as she's felt the entire time she's been here... Well. At least he isn't trying to stop her, unlike some people.]

What, then, if it feels as if nothing else matters anyway?

I don’t think it quite has to... matter, I suppose, when it comes to hobbies. I have to confess, back home, I am not actually good at fishing. I rarely actually catch anything, actually, so it doesn’t even provide any material rewards the way other hobbies might.

What it does do is... give me some time away from my other duties. It allows me to let my mind wander, so I occasionally get ideas I wouldn’t think of if I was focused entirely on my work... and even if it doesn’t, when I do go back to my duties, I’m more refreshed.

...You know, it's like something's been pressing me on for a long, long time. Here, it's just gone. But I'm not going to lose my focus. Everything depends on this.

...It’s not easy to cope with losing a skill that was very important to you, certainly. I would hope that there is a way for everyone to regain their suppressed abilities, but...

I won’t pretend it isn’t painful, but I do think it’s possible for you to get through this.

I'm surprised it would feel the same at all. Video games aren't usually the most realistic.

Aw, actual fishing is full of tricks! I have a friend who took me fishing so many years ago, and we did decent. I think it depends on the bait.
