WEEK 4

Another trial, another week, and still you're probably running lower on answers than you'd like. And on people - you lost three since last Sunday. By the end of this week, you'll have been here for nearly a full month, yet still the days crawl on.

You wake up Sunday, again with no memory of Saturday, but this time with a simple message on your devices: You may resume requesting items, if you like. Enjoy. Guess it really was just a stealth motive after all, but at least it's being communicated that it's over! That's something, at least.

And when you leave your rooms on Sunday, there's another new area to explore! This one is... certainly more ambitious in its construction than the last one, to say the least. But hey, you have a pretty neat place to host parties, if you feel so inclined! That's... fun...

Hey, you gotta find the fun in situations like this where you can! Silver linings, right?

[This all reeks of sin. Well, okay, not really but it seems... strange. They were surrounded water why give them a pool?? The Professor's mind remains a mystery.

She, however, once she realizes that there is a bar she brings her bottle of Malort. She leaves it and.. takes one of the smaller bottles. Rhea doesn't stop to drink it, though. She just... leaves.

In fact, she heads straight to the woman's restroom. The scent of alcohol probably lingers as she just pours it down the drain. What? She doesn't think she could get drunk off it, anyway. It probably smells better than the Malort, at least.

After that, she stops by her room and lingers around the lounge for a little while before heading back to the chapel. There is a small statue of a woman in her arms.]/small>

Is there a reason you're wasting alcohol?

[...says the person under the legal drinking age in many countries.]

The bottle is more useful.

[Simple.]

I left the alcohol I got through that... machine as a replacement.

Does that mean you've found something to use it for?

[or are you holding onto it in case the dome breaks and you can send a message in a bottle as we all die]

In a sense, yes.

[Wouldn't the bottle just sink....]

I see. None of the rooms this time around look all that useful. A tiki bar, really? Is it 1957?

[archboxer]

I am unsure what a tiki bar is, if I am being honest... Is it not a normal establishment?

It was trendy in the olden days, when it was more difficult to actually travel the world. Because the average person couldn't see another place's culture for themselves, they went to a tacky facsimile. One with lots of shrimp dip and alcohol.

[archboxer]

I see. How... unfortunate. [She honestly doesn't know what to make of that. But, ahem. She clears her throat.] That aside... I had a thought regarding what happened to Alice. If, we could use what we learned..

[Time for a scheme...] That is, are we without any of our abilities?

You suppose we aren't? Well, Alice still needed to drink blood, but that's not an ability so much as a weakness, and she couldn't see the future... but she did shine under the spotlight, and she drained blood without breaking skin. Those would be unnatural, wouldn't they?

[archboxer]

Those are quite unusual abilities still. The gems also seem to be able to go without sleep. That, again, is unnatural to a human. It merely is a theory but one I wish to investigate.

What's that thing you've got with you?

[ Why is Jasper even in here... and why does she smell like chlorine? Okay, the second one is probably easy to answer, but still. ]

[archboxer]

This? This is a statue of the Goddess that happened to be in the machine.

[It's better for it to be here.]

Something else he shouldn't have been able to get his hands on, then.

[ It looks a little bit like the statues that help power spires? But just a little bit. ]

[archboxer]

Not exactly... statues like this are common for households to have. It personally is not mine but, well. It belongs in the chapel regardless.

[hardnosed]

Knowing he can take things from anywhere in our worlds isn't much better. [ She pauses. ] Who is she?

And where do you seem to be going in such a hurry?

[ Zelos sits up from the couch in the lounge he was laying on, purposely tanking his snake game to look up. ]

[archboxer]

To my room, Zelos.

[Carrying an empty bottle.]

[pimpplan]

[ squints ]

My lady, you really shouldn't be drinking on your own like that. I'd be more than happy to split a bottle with you, if you wanted.

[archboxer]

[She shakes the bottle. It's empty!]

I am afraid that I do not drink.

Oh, my apologies. Can I inquire what you're doing with it, then? You're not enforcing a dry campus, are you?

[ Because if so... he's gotta go run to the bar real quick. ]

[archboxer]

Oh, no, as long as no one goes too far I would not stop them. My tolerance for alcohol is quite high, however. It would be a quite a futile thing for me to drink. [Since what's the point of drinking if you can't get drunk, she wonders?] I just needed a container. I replaced it with a bottle of alcohol I received from the machine.

Oh, phew. Thank Martel, you scared me for a second.

[ He can't help but laugh at the mention of Rhea's high tolerance. ] You know, somehow that makes a lot of sense. I can absolutely see you being able to drink someone under a table.

[archboxer]

Such things can help lighten a mood.

[How much is too much depends... one of the professors has, ah, a love of alcohol.] Is that so? I honestly did not think that I had that sort of air about me.

[pimpplan]

That's just it. It's always those who you least expect. I've certainly been around enough noble types in my life to make of a living off those types of educated guesses, anyway.
