WEEK 4

Another trial, another week, and still you're probably running lower on answers than you'd like. And on people - you lost three since last Sunday. By the end of this week, you'll have been here for nearly a full month, yet still the days crawl on.

You wake up Sunday, again with no memory of Saturday, but this time with a simple message on your devices: You may resume requesting items, if you like. Enjoy. Guess it really was just a stealth motive after all, but at least it's being communicated that it's over! That's something, at least.

And when you leave your rooms on Sunday, there's another new area to explore! This one is... certainly more ambitious in its construction than the last one, to say the least. But hey, you have a pretty neat place to host parties, if you feel so inclined! That's... fun...

Hey, you gotta find the fun in situations like this where you can! Silver linings, right?

It's hideous. [ She states this as an objective truth, partially because she figures his response could easily just be "yes, it is." ] But so is the raw material.

Oh, exactly. And besides, I'm already not the most artistically-inclined, so whatever I make is going to be some sort of abomination unto God. Might as well use the ugly things.

If it was always going to be bad, then what's the point of this? [ ... ] Training?

[ She knows humans can get stronger by training, now, to which her response is still Sounds Fake But Okay Sure, so maybe they can get better at... construction? with practice too. It seems like a waste of time to her, but everything here is a waste of time. ]

I don't have a lot of patience for most of the rooms around here, and I don't fight or do a lot of physical stuff, so the gym is out.

That hasn't stopped any of the other weaklings here.

Rin's implied I should probably give it a shot, but I'm pretty sure I'd just break my wrist.

[I mean, close combat also sounds like a great way to get bodied, just in general, but still.]

If someone comes after you, you're going to break it anyway.

It's your call how it happens. Not like it matters to me. [ ... ] But you'd better at least know how to use a weapon.

I can use guns, a bit, but that's not going to help too much here. Thankfully blades aren't exactly rocket science; they've never been my weapon of choice, but I can use them if I have to.

You're lucky there's no end to them in sight, then. [ Although honestly, now that she thinks about it... ] Why doesn't that machine dispense guns? He can't be that concerned about the windows.

...I'd think the location would warrant being pretty concerned about the windows, actually.

I know. I've felt what he has in place.

But it's not like his life is on the line, if those forcefields fail. All he has to lose is his investment.
