WEEK 4

Another trial, another week, and still you're probably running lower on answers than you'd like. And on people - you lost three since last Sunday. By the end of this week, you'll have been here for nearly a full month, yet still the days crawl on.

You wake up Sunday, again with no memory of Saturday, but this time with a simple message on your devices: You may resume requesting items, if you like. Enjoy. Guess it really was just a stealth motive after all, but at least it's being communicated that it's over! That's something, at least.

And when you leave your rooms on Sunday, there's another new area to explore! This one is... certainly more ambitious in its construction than the last one, to say the least. But hey, you have a pretty neat place to host parties, if you feel so inclined! That's... fun...

Hey, you gotta find the fun in situations like this where you can! Silver linings, right?

[Anna stabs the now thoroughly broken plastic lightsaber again and seethes, both hands gripping the spear.]

You wouldn't understand. I doubt you have someone you hate that much.

[ His red eyes lay on the plastic lightsaber's remains, as he processed her words. In a way they were not exactly wrong, but they weren't exactly right either. ]

The person I would loathe so much would no longer be among the living, since we're not counting the Professor.

Who would be 'her'?

Ernesta. A girl from another mage family. We grew up together after her parents died, but then she got it into my family's head that she was some great talent and ought to be the family heir, and I, who actually wanted to be a mage, who had nothing but dedication, should give up! Even if she denies it, she's trying to take over my household to preserve what's left of her own. I'm never going to forgive someone like that.

[valentinus]

[ He'll consider her words. ]

...So what you are saying that she manipulated your family into believing this, and those are her true intentions insofar as you have witnessed.

Oh, she'll never admit it, but what else could it be? And then she goes and tells me that I have no talent and that doing this was a favour! I've never heard something more ridiculous in my life, especially from someone who says she didn't ask for this.

[valentinus]

[ Ouch. He'll frown ]

...It does sound contrary. It also seems to me she was attempting to incite a fight.

[ If she wasn't the one who started it... ]

But now I have to ask, what is it that made you think of her at all? Does it have something to do with that item you were attacking?

That's one of those glowing toy swords. It reminded me of the blades her ARMANOX uses, that's all.

Don't get me wrong, I still want to make the Professor suffer for all this. Wouldn't anyone?

Yes.

[ Beat. ]

...So you were just venting, then. That makes sense.

In a way, it'll help prepare you for in the event we can face him down.
