WEEK 4

Another trial, another week, and still you're probably running lower on answers than you'd like. And on people - you lost three since last Sunday. By the end of this week, you'll have been here for nearly a full month, yet still the days crawl on.

You wake up Sunday, again with no memory of Saturday, but this time with a simple message on your devices: You may resume requesting items, if you like. Enjoy. Guess it really was just a stealth motive after all, but at least it's being communicated that it's over! That's something, at least.

And when you leave your rooms on Sunday, there's another new area to explore! This one is... certainly more ambitious in its construction than the last one, to say the least. But hey, you have a pretty neat place to host parties, if you feel so inclined! That's... fun...

Hey, you gotta find the fun in situations like this where you can! Silver linings, right?

[Nova would know the sound of a chainsaw anywhere, so when she hears it she immediately gravitates toward it. She expects somebody to have gotten a regular chainsaw from the vending machines but what she sees is, uh. Very much not that.]

What the fuck is Excalibur doing here?

[There were, perhaps, nicer ways to say that. Nova is too stunned to use any of them.]

[ Della, swinging the sword about, turns in surprise. She figured that sign would keep people out! Then, uh. Well! ]

Listen, I'm not the one who pulled it from the stone but I'd recognize that chainsaw anywhere.

[ She turns off the chainsaw. ]

Isn't it supposed to be a sword?!

It is a sword. Why else would the handle be like that?

[For the record: Excalibur is just a chainsaw blade on a relatively normal sword handle.]

Why's it have teeth then? And...and rev like all vrrrrr! Swords don't do that!

It's a chainsaw-sword, obviously. [She just says that like it's absolutely normal.] You can use it like a chainsaw or you can use it like a sword.

They don't really, uhh, have those where I'm from.

Really? They started making them because the reach is longer than a traditional chainsaw and it's more versatile than a sword. Here, let me show you.

[She holds out her hand, because she's never used this specific one but she's used similar ones.]
