WEEK 4

Another trial, another week, and still you're probably running lower on answers than you'd like. And on people - you lost three since last Sunday. By the end of this week, you'll have been here for nearly a full month, yet still the days crawl on.

You wake up Sunday, again with no memory of Saturday, but this time with a simple message on your devices: You may resume requesting items, if you like. Enjoy. Guess it really was just a stealth motive after all, but at least it's being communicated that it's over! That's something, at least.

And when you leave your rooms on Sunday, there's another new area to explore! This one is... certainly more ambitious in its construction than the last one, to say the least. But hey, you have a pretty neat place to host parties, if you feel so inclined! That's... fun...

Hey, you gotta find the fun in situations like this where you can! Silver linings, right?

It must get tiring, taking on so much responsibility.

It's not easy work, for sure, but someone has to do it. When the people ask, the great Zelos Wilder always answers, no matter the problem.

[ He leans against the armrest of the chair, taking a sip of his palm tree drink. ]

We're very lucky to have you, then.

[ It's tempting to bring up the catastrophe at the meeting but, mercifully, she doesn't. ]

If you couldn't back it up, I'd go out on a limb and say that talking big is another bad habit.

[ sweats... that's probably for the best.

His hand goes to his chest as he makes a very obviously fake offended noise. ]

Hey, that hurts! I might exaggerate a bit, but what I say is the truth! [ Quick, it's time to deflect before something unfortunate gets said! ]

And what's another one of yours, huh? Wounding my sensitive heart?

Ah, turning it around on me... I suppose I deserve that.

[ Hmmm. ]

I guess I often take on too much responsibility, myself.

[ that's a slightly more eloquent way to say "i try way too fucking hard, man" ]

[ He pauses for a moment, before laughing quietly. Yeah, he's got a feeling it's like that, exactly. ]

While I can't say that's good, I'm having a hard time trying to decide if that's worse than me. I, personally, try to take as little responsibility as possible. That sort of thing messes with my image, y'know?

[philoxenia]

[ She lets out a huff. ]

Well, I suppose it's pretty obvious! [ She pauses, though, raising her eyebrows. ] Your image, hmm? And what image would that be, exactly?

[ He snickers. ]

I take great pride in being an aloof, devil may care sort of guy, if you haven't been able to tell. The ladies back home can't get enough of it, y'know? Like an elusive catch or something.

[philoxenia]

Oh, is that what it is? [ She lets out a little laugh. ] I'm sure the flashy wardrobe helps, too.

[pimpplan]

Hey, what's that supposed to mean? I've seen way worse, I'll have you know!

[ He rubs his arm absentmindedly, suddenly missing his gloves. Flashy? He's like twenty belts short of being flashy! ]

Flashy isn't bad, you know! You make it look good. But now I'm curious about what fashion disasters you've seen.....

[pimpplan]

Well, now you're just buttering me up. [ Well, at least he's predictable. ]

Between two worlds, it's crazy the outfits some people wear. Lot of one pieces. Lot of white and gold, in some cases. Way too many belts in others. Way more weird looking capes than there probably should be.

[ ... that probably explains about half of JRPG villians, honestly ... ]

Let it go to your head and maybe I'll rethink complimenting you.

[ There's no weight to her words, though. Anyway-- ]

Belts? Out of all the accessories to pick, people wear more than one?

[ Listen, she's seen a lot of Fashion in her world, but.... belts... ]
