[ ... Well, that was an absolute shitshow, wasn't it? Instead of dwelling on how she feels about everything that just happened, Mira's channeling that energy into something else--and she has a little bit of help doing it. Zerinda and Ema are here in the bar to make drinks, and Mira's brought in a ton of food that's definitely not healthy for anyone, but screw it, who cares about health right now?

Della's here to pass out invitations, too--they let everyone know there's a gathering in the bar, if they'd rather not be alone.

If you choose not to come, well... Mira's got that taken care of, too. She'll place a little container of cookies and hot cocoa outside your door. Maybe it'll help someone feel a little less alone--at least, that's what she's hoping. ]

[ This is how it works, isn't it? They press all the stragglers until they agree to put in an appearance, and then everyone can sit in the false assurance that this will never happen again. ]

Alright. But, you don't have to. Mostly I wanted to see how you were holding up, and...also to thank you, for today.

[ Okay, that's a stupid question, she knows exactly why. Still, to be thanked for something is still an intensely bizarre experience for her. She's gotten random, unsolicited praise, but that's generally been from people who only have stories to go off of, and it's always been for her simply performing her function. ]

I know she didn't make any friends back there, but I wasn't gonna just let her throw her life away on something so stupid. We can't afford to lose more of our numbers. Someone else would have stepped in if I hadn't.

I'm not so sure about that. Who else was between her and Zelos that could've? Rhea's...stronger than she appears. Apparently, she can throw a really good punch. Someone else might've gotten hurt, or...maybe even worse.

[ This is...a bit of a grim admittance here. ]

I wasn't too wild about the things she was saying...but I don't want anyone else to get hurt or killed, not...when we've already had too much loss. So, you really saved the day there, Jasper. I mean it.

[ She stands still and she thinks about it. Maybe Della's right. Maybe Rhea would have slaughtered Zelos and paid the price for it. Maybe someone trying to stop her would simply have gotten hurt. Maybe Jasper should have let her put herself out of her misery. ]

Don't thank me for that, [ she grumbles. ] She still owes me a fight. That's all.

Whatever reason you did it for. [ She's accepting it's a little harder to encourage Jasper. ] It would've been a lot worse down there if we had another corpse to contend with.
