What I want to hear on nights I can't sleep is your voice
[ ... Well, that was an absolute shitshow, wasn't it? Instead of dwelling on how she feels about everything that just happened, Mira's channeling that energy into something else--and she has a little bit of help doing it. Zerinda and Ema are here in the bar to make drinks, and Mira's brought in a ton of food that's definitely not healthy for anyone, but screw it, who cares about health right now?
Della's here to pass out invitations, too--they let everyone know there's a gathering in the bar, if they'd rather not be alone.
If you choose not to come, well... Mira's got that taken care of, too. She'll place a little container of cookies and hot cocoa outside your door. Maybe it'll help someone feel a little less alone--at least, that's what she's hoping. ]

At some point you gotta look inside yourself and ask "what am I willing to put up with today?" The answer is NOT FUCKING ANY OF THAT. So basically Nova ends up just. Mildly screaming. In her room. She'll be fine.
She does show up at the bar after a while, though, and immediately takes stock of the entire inventory. Okay. You know what? She was a bartender for years.]
Want something? I'm putting my skills to good use tonight because we all deserve it.

[Entertaining as the unmitigated mess of a trial had been, something about that stuck with Kirei like a persistent thorn. It bothered him, and it bothered him all the way to the bar. He poured a glass of red wine and sat in pensive silence, only occasionally remembering to actually drink it.]
[A small book of matches laid out on the bar caught his eye, Kirei picked it up as if considering something. Glanced around the room, then stepped behind the bar. He struck a match and took a photograph from his pocket, holding it over the flame and watching the edges curl as they smoldered.]
['Your wish will not come true unless there is a clear evil. Even if it is not something you approve of, a superhero requires a villain to defeat.']
[Yes. To grant that wish would be to bring about a cataclysm requiring a savior. What that Master desired now, Kirei didn't know. He doubted that person himself was even fully certain any longer.]
['You said you would be a superhero. Then make your decision.']
[To grant that person's wish would be to give them an enemy that a hero of justice needed to defeat. In that way...their desires were one and the same. Worth killing for, certainly. Kirei had only refused as much because-]
['Such a hopeless wretch! Do you still seek mundane happiness!? Do you not understand that such a thing does not exist for you!?']
[The small flames reached a little too close to the priest's hand, and the photograph was dropped into the metal sink to slowly burn away harmlessly. Kirei, as though nothing out of place had transpired at all today, turned his back on it.]
[The reasoning didn't matter. Neither did the motivations of a madman styling himself a professor. He could only live as he always had, and wait for the right opportunity to show itself..]

Needless to say, there's some control to it, which is always a good thing to have. And on top of that, having Zerinda and Nova around to help and show her new tricks is a huge plus. Plus, it's good to change hands, every now and again..!
She's got the boombox playing a pretty heavy rotation of some more upbeat music: The Clash at Demonhead is here, but she's also got these cheesy Jimmy Buffett songs rolling in, and all of your favorite cheesy bar hits. Occasionally, she'll throw on a CHVRCHES song, or better yet, something from Paramore, courtesy of Angel's CD dropoff from earlier in the week.
She's here to chat, about whatever may strike your fancy, but if you'd like to just bum it at the bar, she's here for you, too. ]

She's dealing in aggressive positivity--or at least, aggressive company. Don't have something to eat? Well, she'll just ask what you want and get it then. Sitting alone? Howdy partner, let's chat. There's a defiant air to it all. She's so done with this, so done, but that only makes her want to try harder.
And...if you happen to not be at the gathering, she's...doing a little looking around the facility. ]
Hey there. I've been looking for you.

He can be found, eventually, in the laundry room, watching his usual outfit go 'round in one of the washing machines. In lieu of that, he's had to resort to wearing the black suit provided at the start of all this. Freshly washed and dried, he actually almost looks kind of human.
Even later, he actually returns to the slide at the water park. Yes, the one where Seteth died. He's nursing a bottle of cider and watching the ocean life float by in quiet, thoughtful melancholy.]

So this is the second week that he can be found in the workshop after the trial; he's got the leech with him (and he's given the leech an egg just to see what it'll do with it, and for the time being it's just nudging it around and recoiling when it rolls, because bless its heart with all its 30 chambers, really) but generally he's not doing a whole lot. He's not adding to the hellpuppet collective tonight, at least... He's got what are probably a bunch of notes out on the table nearby, though he isn't adding to them at the moment, and if anything he's doing a lot of restless pacing; it seems this is more a place to be than anything, though it's not like he's going to introduce anyone's face to a band saw or anything if they come in.]

Needless to say Rhea isn't going to the party. Instead, very late she drags herself to the chapel. She at least managed to pull herself together enough to change her clothes out of the bloody gown and wash her face in the women's bathroom. Her mind is a mess of emotions. Impotent anger, bitterness that she could not have at least slain Zelos with her own hands... Regret that she had to resort to petty lies to keep herself from falling apart even more.
Instead of moving towards the familiar symbols she just sits in a pew, face in hands. She just ends up talking to herself. It might be madness or prayer but, judging by the revelations during the trial and the fact that she doesn't say 'Goddess', it's probably not prayer.]
Mother.... why? If you wished to punish then why?
[Why not her for her selfishness, her disregard, her hubris in thinking that she could overcome death... Maybe humanity was right. Maybe there was no need for her any longer. She couldn't even be the war bringing prophet correctly. The conversation continues in this one-sided way. She will be here a while...]

Around five minutes later, the center of the lounge becomes the resting place for the remains of two (2) kangaroo plushes, one stuffed penguin, two bootleg Monobears, and one of those fuckawful marionettes. All of them have been sliced into at least five pieces, and immediately after punting them out of her room Jasper stalks back out and heads for the gym. Nobody saw anything. It's fine.
After a bunch of futile, unsatisfying punching of things designed to be punched and another pit stop in her room, she finally shows up at the bar. She's got the bottle of Malört with her, and is initially going to just leave it on the bar itself, but it's immediately clear that there's more than enough of that to go around. She unscrews the top, ripping the clear plastic off in the process by sheer force of will (and ham hands), pulls it out, and gives the bottle a cursory sniff.
Jasper has every idea how she feels about this. She addresses absolutely nobody with incredulous disgust. ]
You drink this?
Gym
Leaving the washing machine to its business, he follows Jasper quietly to the gym, where he waits in the doorway until he sees what it is she's up to. It's not surprising, really. He clears his throat soon enough--no sense pissing her off more.]

For most of the evening she's behind the bar. Nearly all of the drinks she's mixing she's never heard of before but that's what recipie cards are for. For she's experimenting and offering them to anyone who comes along with a friendly smile and open ear.]
What do you think of this? [As she slides over a full glass of...something.]
[Later on, when things have started to peter out a little, Zerinda takes a bar stool for herself with a glass of white wine. She leans her head on her hand, staring out at the ocean for a while. That doesn't last long before she's reaching into the pocket of her skirt and pulling out her motive photograph. She's...just going to do this for a while. A reminder of what she has to go back to rather than what's keeping her trapped.]

But as much as she didn't want that particular detail to come out like that...well, it has. Frankly, it's surprising Jasper hadn't confronted her publicly before. So she'll show up to the bar and sit with everyone else for a while. She's brought her newest crochet project, and is working on that while occasionally sipping on her drink.
(It's absolutely virgin and probably just fruit juice and syrup. She likes sweet stuff!)]

[ It's a good thing Mira doesn't intend to ask. It's obviously something Rose should be able to offer information about... and if she doesn't, well, then it's none of her business. No, she's here to maybe offer something to get her mind off.... that.
So she sits next to Rose, cocoa clutched in her hands. ]
