Instead of dwelling on how she feels about everything that just happened, Mira's channeling that energy into something else--and she has a little bit of help doing it. Zerinda and Ema are here in the bar to make drinks, and Mira's brought in a ton of food that's definitely not healthy for anyone, but screw it, who cares about health right now?

Della's here to pass out invitations, too--they let everyone know there's a gathering in the bar, if they'd rather not be alone.

If you choose not to come, well... Mira's got that taken care of, too. She'll place a little container of cookies and hot cocoa outside your door. Maybe it'll help someone feel a little less alone--at least, that's what she's hoping. ]

That's what colonization is. They drain it of whatever resources they can, and then they hollow it out to make way for warps and spires. Places for high-ranking gems to just sit around and admire statues of themselves.

The Earth was her colony. Blue and Yellow sent forces to support her, and even visited themselves sometimes, but I only ever saw Blue from a distance.

Huh. Good thing they didn't consider your rebellion worrying enough to come face you personally, then.

They always were arrogant.

[She knows full well what Blue and Yellow thought of the rebellion, and why they never interfered personally. It was Pink's colony, and Pink had to finally, finally be a proper Diamond for once.]

Can be an advantage sometimes, that arrogance. Lets you surprise them with what you can actually do. Though I guess that ship sailed once you got rid of Pink Diamond.

I'm not so sure. She was the least of them.

Mmmm. Well, it sounds lucky that you never had to test yourself against the others, then. [A pause.] If they did come for the Earth, do you think you could fight them as well?

[lovelikeyou]

No, I don't. Not as things are now. There's only four of us left.

[Even an army probably wouldn't have helped. And that's all leaving aside what she would even do. She wants them off Earth, but she doesn't think she could really ever shatter them.]

[Oh. Right, she only described three of her companions, didn't she? Nira just assumed those were the ones who stuck around in particular.] I'm sorry. That you also lost so many of your group...

[A quiet nod.] ...how are you going to handle Rhea being around after this? I'm planning on just...keeping my distance, for now. [Because wow, vessel breeding programs sure freak her out!]

[Nira just nods.] Neither do I. But she seems so set in her ways about some things.

[A sigh] I do feel sorry for her losing her family like that, but her actions and words were completely out of line.

We've all lost people. It doesn't make it right to treat other people like they're nothing.
