WEEK 5

That's three murders now - and this last trial got more than slightly out of hand. It looks like you might be in for another tough week... or at least, maybe that's just the refusal of this place to change too much. You lose Saturday again, but maybe six-day weeks are starting to feel normal by now. Who knows? The cycle of day and night continues apace, changing so little.

Speaking of change, though, there's a new area to look through, the biggest and most complex yet. And the end of one wing of the facility, from the looks of it - though you can probably guess where more areas might start to open up.

And speaking of opening up (segues!), this week if you're out particularly late, you might sometimes see Angel out and about! So hey, maybe change is on the horizon.

Just gotta hope it's a change for the better, don't you?

And if you expand the concept a little, there are at least two more people here who find stones important... [ She means the two of them, obviously. ] Does the Professor have a thing for rocks, too?

Judging from that purple material Ema found in the ice, I'd say so. Therion and I were going to test it. Given what we know and how it was stored, it likely does something when it's heated.

Did you have something in mind for how to heat it up?

Either the kiln or... apparently there was firewood in the prize machine. Don't ask me why he puts rubbish in there.

Kotomine found some matches in the bar, too. A small fire might be better for keeping the level of heat controlled, don't you think?

That's true. Of course, it isn't as if we haven't got water in case something does happen. So upon setting up a controlled area, there shouldn't be a problem!

Right! An emptied-out trashcan might even do it, since you've already got the kindling for fuel.

Of course! So there shouldn't be any problems. If the stone is a fuel, at least we'll know some more about what it does.

If we assume it's fuel, you're going to want two cans, then. One for fire, one for water. The real worry will be putting it out once it's ignited, you know?

I'm sure there are enough rubbish bins around here that no one will care about a few.
