WEEK 5

That's three murders now - and this last trial got more than slightly out of hand. It looks like you might be in for another tough week... or at least, maybe that's just the refusal of this place to change too much. You lose Saturday again, but maybe six-day weeks are starting to feel normal by now. Who knows? The cycle of day and night continues apace, changing so little.

Speaking of change, though, there's a new area to look through, the biggest and most complex yet. And the end of one wing of the facility, from the looks of it - though you can probably guess where more areas might start to open up.

And speaking of opening up (segues!), this week if you're out particularly late, you might sometimes see Angel out and about! So hey, maybe change is on the horizon.

Just gotta hope it's a change for the better, don't you?

[Though Rose still doesn't sleep regularly, she's started to head back to her room around morningtime, if only to check for those strange coins that are deposited there sometimes. All her attempts to see anyone leaving them have been fruitless, but at least they're useful? Today, she has a decent little pile of them, so she goes right to the vending machine after that.]

[You might hear her sounding a bit surprised, or see her jumping back to try and avoid her regular gallon of seawater dispensing. She's holding a couple items up in her arms to keep them from getting wet - looks like just a couple of scarves and a leather journal, though.

After that whole incident, she does also obtain a shovel, which is perfect! She'll be in the garden later on, selecting a spot for her grass and her hollyhock and carefully planting the both of them.]

[ She's here to put in some of her coins, too, but something Rose has gotten catches her eye-- before that, though, she tries to gather up what Rose hasn't been able to grab. ]

Geez, this is really a mess.... I can't believe we keep getting seawater...

Like we don't have enough!

[But Rose seems to be taking it in good humor. The stuff on the ground that Mira's gathering up is basically just random nonsense - a mime kit, a blobfish kigurumi, things like that.]

Thank you. [She'll carefully shuffle the Bible+ and the leather book into one arm, to keep them away from the wet items as she offers to take them back.]

Exactly. Now, if we had some of that sand to soak it up...

[ But she shakes her head. ]

It's no problem. Nothing got damaged, did it?

[ Well, one thing is definitely for sure.... There are a lot of mentions of Mira in there! ]

[She really is just flipping through, but that's the sort of thing that's bound to catch her eye eventually...she'll stop and peer at a page.]

[Oh, hey, Della. Rose, as per usual, would prefer to act like nothing ever happened, so of course she isn't bracing for any continuation of any discussions that we're ignoring right now.]

I did! And so much of it, too - I put all the worms in over there.

[Gestures to a flowerbed? Worms live here now.]

[ Don't think she doesn't notice that, the- the avoidance, the... Ugh, she'll give it another try later. Maybe this can be like the other 50% of their conversations and just be wholesome and sweet. ]

You found a designated worm place. Boy, that's a strange descriptor, but, you know, I'm keeping it. Here it is, the designated worm place. Whatcha gonna plant in it?

[Rose giggles. No avoidance here, we are fine now!]

I'm not sure. Maybe just the grass, and I'll put the flower with the other ones.

Flower? Oh! Oh, that's lovely. Was it another vending machine find, or...?

It was! It wasn't mine, actually, but we thought it would survive better in the bowl with the grass.
