WEEK 5

That's three murders now - and this last trial got more than slightly out of hand. It looks like you might be in for another tough week... or at least, maybe that's just the refusal of this place to change too much. You lose Saturday again, but maybe six-day weeks are starting to feel normal by now. Who knows? The cycle of day and night continues apace, changing so little.

Speaking of change, though, there's a new area to look through, the biggest and most complex yet. And the end of one wing of the facility, from the looks of it - though you can probably guess where more areas might start to open up.

And speaking of opening up (segues!), this week if you're out particularly late, you might sometimes see Angel out and about! So hey, maybe change is on the horizon.

Just gotta hope it's a change for the better, don't you?

[ It appears to be a letter, written on slightly different letterhead than the first one Birkin found way back when. There's a coffee stain on it. ]

Dear [REDACTED],

I assume you want some kind of update on this, so I’ll go ahead and stop the passive-aggressive talk at the next [REDACTED] meeting now. Extractions have been completed for our first run at [REDACTED], Subject Delta is being a great help at constructing [REDACTED], and the whole project is running on schedule. If I had known it would be this easy to stop interference from [REDACTED], I would have voted we do it long ago.

I am finalizing the rules for the experiment now - please do not worry, I will take care to ensure the windows are not breached. I’m a big boy, [REDACTED], I can handle my own highly immoral and deeply illegal ventures.

Please find attached psychological profiles I’ve collected on the batch of subjects - wouldn’t you know it, we’ve even managed to collect a rock star. For simplicity’s sake, I move that we refer to them as Test Subjects and then by numbers, the Greek alphabet can only hold so much of the load.

It really is refreshing to have a project we make money on even if it fails, isn’t it?

That's all up here, but it's worth noting that whenever Della does go down, the rope detaches from the boat once she's on the ground. Looks like any return trips to The Boat will have to be done the hard way. ]
