WEEK 5

That's three murders now - and this last trial got more than slightly out of hand. It looks like you might be in for another tough week... or at least, maybe that's just the refusal of this place to change too much. You lose Saturday again, but maybe six-day weeks are starting to feel normal by now. Who knows? The cycle of day and night continues apace, changing so little.

Speaking of change, though, there's a new area to look through, the biggest and most complex yet. And the end of one wing of the facility, from the looks of it - though you can probably guess where more areas might start to open up.

And speaking of opening up (segues!), this week if you're out particularly late, you might sometimes see Angel out and about! So hey, maybe change is on the horizon.

Just gotta hope it's a change for the better, don't you?

"Rock" seems to be a common theme, doesn't it. ...Wait. [She pauses.] Are we sure that line's really referring to Piers? It's more and more likely, after all, that this is the second group of subjects.

As "Test Subjects" and then by numbers...still a very different naming scheme than the one he's using for us, right?

Exactly. We've mostly been referred to as lab rats... And if we're numbered, I haven't heard of it.

You may be right, but he doesn't refer to me as, say, "Test Subject 12". He has a different little name for me, right?

...Not that he's been strict about that, either.

It's true, though, he seems to have forgotten all about the titles, and half of them look to have been picked as a joke.

...Why would it relate to Piers. I would've guessed Rose.

"Rock" is the genre of music Piers used to play on that guitar of his, and "star" is another word for someone famous, so that's where the connection to him would be. Though, I wouldn't put it past him to be cheeky and go for some kind of double meaning with that phrase...
