WEEK 5

That's three murders now - and this last trial got more than slightly out of hand. It looks like you might be in for another tough week... or at least, maybe that's just the refusal of this place to change too much. You lose Saturday again, but maybe six-day weeks are starting to feel normal by now. Who knows? The cycle of day and night continues apace, changing so little.

Speaking of change, though, there's a new area to look through, the biggest and most complex yet. And the end of one wing of the facility, from the looks of it - though you can probably guess where more areas might start to open up.

And speaking of opening up (segues!), this week if you're out particularly late, you might sometimes see Angel out and about! So hey, maybe change is on the horizon.

Just gotta hope it's a change for the better, don't you?

Well, you looked like you were about to. But fine, perhaps I'll just let you pass out next time.

[bogwife]

[She sighs and rises up onto her elbows, tilting her head up to look at her.]

I appreciate the thought and your willingness to not let me be killed for breaking one of his stupid rules. Would you like to sit with me for a while? [Pat pat pat the grass.]

I'd rather not, if it's all the same to you. What's so interesting about the birdsong, then?

[bogwife]

Suit yourself. [She tilts her head back skyward and closes her eyes again, letting out a contented sigh.] They're nice to listen to. It reminds me of home.

I suppose you spend a lot of time outdoors, then.

[bogwife]

Mmhm! Most of my time, in fact. I do live in a cave.

[emberserker]

I expected someone who lived in a cave to look more... well.

[bogwife]

Well?

[emberserker]

You've seen Therion.

[bogwife]

Ah. [Yeah, that scans.] I suppose I'm just well-suited for it. I didn't exactly have a traditional upbringing so living like someone out of a fairy tale just sort works for me.

I suppose that's why the Professor calls you a Bog Witch. Not that most of those titles are particularly flattering.

[bogwife]

Mmhmm. I am used to it though, some of the villagers near me coined it ages before he did. He uses it much more neutrally than they tend to though. I'm much more used to it being whispered behind my back or screamed by small children who don't know better.

"Witch" by itself is fine. My ancestor, the Carmine Witch, was a legend. But the way some people put it, not so much. Ridiculous, honestly.
