WEEK 5

That's three murders now - and this last trial got more than slightly out of hand. It looks like you might be in for another tough week... or at least, maybe that's just the refusal of this place to change too much. You lose Saturday again, but maybe six-day weeks are starting to feel normal by now. Who knows? The cycle of day and night continues apace, changing so little.

Speaking of change, though, there's a new area to look through, the biggest and most complex yet. And the end of one wing of the facility, from the looks of it - though you can probably guess where more areas might start to open up.

And speaking of opening up (segues!), this week if you're out particularly late, you might sometimes see Angel out and about! So hey, maybe change is on the horizon.

Just gotta hope it's a change for the better, don't you?

Oh. [Anna looks over to him for half a second before turning back to the criminal techniques books.] Researching after the meeting, I presume?

[ He'll nod. ]

It couldn't hurt. And even if I wasn't, we've no end to our reading material.

We may as well take advantage.

It's better than some of the things to do around here. What are you reading into?

[valentinus]

Some books on medicine with a side of science, and some criminal mysteries.

[ He'll finally look up from his book to glance at her. ]

What about you?

A number of things, but I have to wonder about all his material on criminal methods, given how it seems to be a personal interest of his.

[valentinus]

...I'm not surprised it is, considering what he's trying to have us do here, to a degree of some success.

[ The experiment, with the motives and such...

One way to study the minds of people, he supposed. ]

He certainly isn't sparing any expense for this place, except perhaps the cooks. And as we've brought up, he keeps interfering in his own experiment. It can't just be a study of the mind.

[valentinus]

A study of how in various, uncreative ways to cause people pain, then.

[ Okay.

He knew that wasn't probably the answer either, but...but. He's feeling petty towards the Professor, especially with today. ]
