WEEK 5

That's three murders now - and this last trial got more than slightly out of hand. It looks like you might be in for another tough week... or at least, maybe that's just the refusal of this place to change too much. You lose Saturday again, but maybe six-day weeks are starting to feel normal by now. Who knows? The cycle of day and night continues apace, changing so little.

Speaking of change, though, there's a new area to look through, the biggest and most complex yet. And the end of one wing of the facility, from the looks of it - though you can probably guess where more areas might start to open up.

And speaking of opening up (segues!), this week if you're out particularly late, you might sometimes see Angel out and about! So hey, maybe change is on the horizon.

Just gotta hope it's a change for the better, don't you?

It really is. He said it wasn't his usual type of music, but it's lovely anyways. Probably comes from being a big brother...

Yeah, it sounds like a lullaby after all...he has a little sister, did I mention that? [She doesn't remember completely what she mentioned while drunk.]

[ to be fair, brian just sort of tunes out around drunk people. when dealing with ALREADY KINDA INSANE FRIENDS, adding alcohol to the mix is just a big No ]

Mm...well, he does. He sounded so satisfied when talking about how she took over the Gym form him too... [Talking about Piers' sister: slightly less depressing than talking about the dead man himself!]

Like she was stepping into her own?

Yeah, pretty much. And he could start doing music full-time... [Her voice trails off as she looks back down at the tablet.]

What kind of gym was it again?

[ladygeryon]

A Pokemon gym. You probably don't have them in your world, I guess? They're usually meant for the Pokemon themselves to fight and train, not humans. And the Gym Leader's supposed to test Trainers who come by and challenge them, give them a badge if they can beat their Gym team. [She waves a hand at the various Pokemon sitting around the room.]

...no? That's definitely not how it's pronounced.

Pocket Humans.

[ladygeryon]

...what? [She just stares at him in definite confusion for a while there.]

We collect humans and use them for battles.

[ladygeryon]

That...is the most succinct way to describe being a Pokemon trainer as well...do those humans have any special Moves or Types like Pokemon do?

They have jobs, like tax collector.

And you can make them sick.

[ladygeryon]

Jobs, huh? Guess it could kind of work as an equivalent to Types...so do they just punch each other or what?
