WEEK 5

That's three murders now - and this last trial got more than slightly out of hand. It looks like you might be in for another tough week... or at least, maybe that's just the refusal of this place to change too much. You lose Saturday again, but maybe six-day weeks are starting to feel normal by now. Who knows? The cycle of day and night continues apace, changing so little.

Speaking of change, though, there's a new area to look through, the biggest and most complex yet. And the end of one wing of the facility, from the looks of it - though you can probably guess where more areas might start to open up.

And speaking of opening up (segues!), this week if you're out particularly late, you might sometimes see Angel out and about! So hey, maybe change is on the horizon.

Just gotta hope it's a change for the better, don't you?

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

[ ooc: Welcome to Week 5! Remember to turn in AC here, threads for regain coins here, and if you feel so inclined you can visit Angel's office hours over here! Or, if you want Angel to come to you, that's now an option! Simply put a prompt after lights-out into your toplevel and indicate you want Angel in the subject line, same as investigations! ]

Oh, it's not normal, don't get me wrong. Just know a few crackpots- oh wait, that's the normal-ish one a few scientists who've been a little loose with their experimental caution.
ladygeryon: (intense stare)

[personal profile] ladygeryon 2020-05-06 05:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, they can be like that sometimes... [A pause, as her face falls as if remembering something negative.] ...do they ever inflict their experiments on unwilling or unaware victims?
nothingcanstop: (just to get to my seat)

[personal profile] nothingcanstop 2020-05-07 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
Ohhh-hoho, no! Nooo, nothing like that, that's not...a thing, he just experiments on himself.
ladygeryon: (confusion)

[personal profile] ladygeryon 2020-05-07 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
[Still worrying, but in a different way.] He hasn't inflicted any...irreversible effects on himself, has he?
nothingcanstop: (all these friends)

[personal profile] nothingcanstop 2020-05-07 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, no. ...Probably? Probably not. Gyro's got...uh, a screw loose, but he's smart enough not to mess something up he can't fix.
ladygeryon: (rolling eyes)

[personal profile] ladygeryon 2020-05-07 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Good for him. I've dealt with too many incidents with people not considering the reversibility of whatever they're messing with.

[Ranging from "Adam trying to jailbreak his little siblings' phones" to "literally using your child for DNA fusion experiments"]
nothingcanstop: (watching them fly)

[personal profile] nothingcanstop 2020-05-08 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
There's some like that in every bunch, huh?
ladygeryon: (intense stare)

[personal profile] ladygeryon 2020-05-08 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, though some of them are still okay people. Like my son Adam-he's pretty good with tech, he just gets too ambitious with his projects sometimes. But he always just wants to help his family out.
nothingcanstop: (all this beauty before me)

[personal profile] nothingcanstop 2020-05-08 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
...Yeah, my youngest is a little like that. Not with technology, but with his schemes. He gets a little in over his head.
ladygeryon: (showing off)

[personal profile] ladygeryon 2020-05-08 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
[Nira chuckles a little.] Pompeii and Helen are the ones with the schemes most of the time. I swear they have some kind of twin telepathy despite not being psychics.
nothingcanstop: ('cause i was one of those kids)

[personal profile] nothingcanstop 2020-05-08 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
You've got twins...? Heh, sounds like twins and...a couple more. I've got triplets, myself.
ladygeryon: (proud mother)

[personal profile] ladygeryon 2020-05-08 06:10 am (UTC)(link)
Twins and five other kids, so far. Though I'm certainly not planning to go through another birth experience like that.

[She's been in multiple fights and she'd still rather go through any of those instead of childbirth again.]
nothingcanstop: (my head is spinning)

[personal profile] nothingcanstop 2020-05-08 07:07 am (UTC)(link)
Seven? [ give her a second. ] That's... Seven!
ladygeryon: (proud mother)

[personal profile] ladygeryon 2020-05-08 08:13 am (UTC)(link)
Yup! Neither Jake or I expected to have so many kids, but I can't imagine life without them now, either.
nothingcanstop: (but i took my first lesson)

[personal profile] nothingcanstop 2020-05-08 08:15 am (UTC)(link)
[ She's starting to come down from this, but. Wow!! ]

Jake... Your husband, I assume?
ladygeryon: (affectionate)

[personal profile] ladygeryon 2020-05-08 08:26 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah...he used to be just a big goof-off when we were traveling together, but he's also quite sweet once you get to know him. Still a goof sometimes, but also a good, responsible dad.

[She is very much not worried about leaving the kids with him as a general principle.]
nothingcanstop: (i always knew you'd be this beautiful)

[personal profile] nothingcanstop 2020-05-08 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
He sounds nice... And you spent time on the road, too?
ladygeryon: (smile)

[personal profile] ladygeryon 2020-05-09 05:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I was on a mostly solo Trainer journey through the various regions, ended up meeting up with that group while there was a bunch of bad shit going down. And after that it just seemed prudent to stick together while we tried to figure it out. We're still in touch with most of them, though Anza lives closest so he gets to be the honorary uncle.
nothingcanstop: (five dollars an hour)

[personal profile] nothingcanstop 2020-05-10 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
Sometimes that's the best way to get to know people. And, well...to bond with them.
ladygeryon: (smile)

[personal profile] ladygeryon 2020-05-11 07:26 pm (UTC)(link)
It really is. And having to share a tent on occasion is good practice for the married life-if you can put up with that, sharing a bed is no trouble! [She says that in a very light, joking tone. Really, they didn't have to share tents that much, except in a few situations with limited ground space.]
nothingcanstop: (suddenly i'm in the cockpit)

[personal profile] nothingcanstop 2020-05-12 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
All the tents I've shared have been with my uncle and my brother. ...But I get the sentiment. Donald kicks.
ladygeryon: (smile)

[personal profile] ladygeryon 2020-05-12 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
Oooh, that's always tough, especially when you're in such a small space. He ever kick you through the tent flap by accident?
nothingcanstop: (and told my father i'd fly)

[personal profile] nothingcanstop 2020-05-12 07:40 am (UTC)(link)
Not after the first time I kicked him back.
ladygeryon: (grin)

[personal profile] ladygeryon 2020-05-12 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh, that'd probably do it. It's sibling equality!
