WEEK 5

That's three murders now - and this last trial got more than slightly out of hand. It looks like you might be in for another tough week... or at least, maybe that's just the refusal of this place to change too much. You lose Saturday again, but maybe six-day weeks are starting to feel normal by now. Who knows? The cycle of day and night continues apace, changing so little.

Speaking of change, though, there's a new area to look through, the biggest and most complex yet. And the end of one wing of the facility, from the looks of it - though you can probably guess where more areas might start to open up.

And speaking of opening up (segues!), this week if you're out particularly late, you might sometimes see Angel out and about! So hey, maybe change is on the horizon.

Just gotta hope it's a change for the better, don't you?

[Nova can be found throughout the museum, looking at the different displays. She seems particularly interested in the fossils, but she does wander through all of the rooms just looking at the displays.

Eventually, however, she ends up in the aquarium. She's actually doing something concrete: cataloging the different fish, frowning at the fact that they're not from the area. Sometimes, however, she just stops what she's doing and looks over at the shark tank. It's almost like she's not looking at the tank at all, but remembering something.]

I suppose this is a contender for most pointless room in this place.

These were transported here. None of these are native to the Pacific.

[That's not a yes or a no, but it speaks to a purpose in her opinion.]

But why would anybody want to come in just to study fish when we're surrounded by them?

It's kind of comforting for me. [She's not actually a marine biologist, but studying fish is about as close to normal as she can get.] Kind of supports my theory this was a facility for something else before we got here, though.

Who's to say it was only one? It is modular, after all, and this wing is different from the rest.

The waterpark is pretty much the only room that's purpose-built and it seems like it could've been an addition or change to a pre-made facility for research.

[The furnishings of the other rooms aren't what you'd expect, but that's just furnishing.]

And even different rooms in the same wing look off -- some more used than others. What does it mean?

Well, we know at least one group was here before us. Maybe this facility had a difference purpose even before that.

Why, what do you suppose?

Rin and I were discussing the magical suppression and came to the conclusion that it may be a natural function of the area this facility is built on.

[That's only part of the answer but it's the easiest to explain.]
