That's three murders now - and this last trial got more than slightly out of hand. It looks like you might be in for another tough week... or at least, maybe that's just the refusal of this place to change too much. You lose Saturday again, but maybe six-day weeks are starting to feel normal by now. Who knows? The cycle of day and night continues apace, changing so little.

Speaking of change, though, there's a new area to look through, the biggest and most complex yet. And the end of one wing of the facility, from the looks of it - though you can probably guess where more areas might start to open up.

And speaking of opening up (segues!), this week if you're out particularly late, you might sometimes see Angel out and about! So hey, maybe change is on the horizon.

Just gotta hope it's a change for the better, don't you?

Haven't collected quite enough scarves to share around, but you'll be the first to know if that changes.

I'll be looking forward to it. I admittedly hadn't been figuring for putting clothes on it, but it's as good a use for vending machine crap as anything else I've seen.

You might have some trouble keeping the hats on, but someone like Zerinda's more equipped to help you with that. I'm better with wood than string and fabric.

If I'm not stealing it, it doesn't feel right to just take things from people. I've only accepted gifts from a handful of you. Even then, I'd rather make a trade.

No, that's fair. At the very least it's consistent.

You tend to be a pretty consistent person. It's not a bad thing; I prefer it to people who aren't.

Don't know if I like that. Predictability isn't exactly a virtue in these circumstances.

That depends on whether you're planning on killing someone, half the time.

And the other half, on whether someone's planning on killing you.

...Maybe it's rude to point it out, but the people who have died so far haven't exactly been the epitome of good choices.

Maybe so. But I wouldn't say most of us left are, either. Everyone here--do you really trust every single one not to try something, given the right push?

Oh, absolutely not. But I'm also not going to be anyone's parent, and I'm not really attached to anyone here, either.

I look out for myself. If the others want to wander around late at night, that's their choice. I won't keep them from it, but I don't have to join them in it, either.

I see what you're saying. It's why, generally, I'd rather not be predictable. It's the kind of thing someone can plan around.

Murder doesn't have to happen on a Thursday night. Maybe our next killer won't procrastinate. And they've had a whole month to get to know us all.

I'm not saying it has to happen on a Thursday, but generally we're all around each other during the day. There's less opportunities, and a far higher chance that a murderer will run into someone.

Doesn't mean it's not possible in the day, either--especially with the poisons available now. But you're right. Even if Jasper still patrols or whatever, it's more dangerous after dark. And it's none of our jobs to babysit.

It's definitely possible to act during the day, but there's something to be said for taking every advantage you can get.

I guess there are a few that I wouldn't be pleased about if they were to up and die. But it's not anything I'm losing sleep over, and if people want to act on whatever we're being pressured with I don't hate them for it or anything. It's just the way it works around here.
