WEEK 5

That's three murders now - and this last trial got more than slightly out of hand. It looks like you might be in for another tough week... or at least, maybe that's just the refusal of this place to change too much. You lose Saturday again, but maybe six-day weeks are starting to feel normal by now. Who knows? The cycle of day and night continues apace, changing so little.

Speaking of change, though, there's a new area to look through, the biggest and most complex yet. And the end of one wing of the facility, from the looks of it - though you can probably guess where more areas might start to open up.

And speaking of opening up (segues!), this week if you're out particularly late, you might sometimes see Angel out and about! So hey, maybe change is on the horizon.

Just gotta hope it's a change for the better, don't you?

[Aria lets out a yelp of warning, and Nira turns and manages to brace herself so she doesn't get knocked completely over, though she does drop her walking stick as she laughs as well.]

He's your companion, then? He's so pretty! [Much more colorful than the pictures she saw in those books.]

He's my friend! He lives out in the desert, but I go and visit him sometimes.

Oh, well, I hope he doesn't mind being cooped up in here too much. [A pause] Are all lions on your planet pink?

[It's a legitimate question!]

No, they're brown. He's just been exposed to a lot of Gem energies. It gave him some powers, and things.

[ladygeryon]

Huh, Gems can do that? To any kind of animal? I know there's some trainers who can change their Pokemon's Types, though it's not a power I have myself.

I'm not really sure how it happened. I just found him near a lot of old Gem artifacts...

Huh. Do you know what any of those artifacts are supposed to do?

[lovelikeyou]

Well, one of them was definitely Pink Diamond's old ship. I'm not sure what she kept on it - its security still works, and I'm not exactly registered there.

Huh. So he couldn't have gotten in either then, right? Was it giving off some kind of weird space radiation? [Nira doesn't sound too concerned about the possibility of space radiation, at least.]

I guess it could've been.

And...you haven't seen any other creatures that changed color around that area? Even smaller ones? [Though maybe whatever it is only works on felines, or mammals, or something...]
