WEEK 5

That's three murders now - and this last trial got more than slightly out of hand. It looks like you might be in for another tough week... or at least, maybe that's just the refusal of this place to change too much. You lose Saturday again, but maybe six-day weeks are starting to feel normal by now. Who knows? The cycle of day and night continues apace, changing so little.

Speaking of change, though, there's a new area to look through, the biggest and most complex yet. And the end of one wing of the facility, from the looks of it - though you can probably guess where more areas might start to open up.

And speaking of opening up (segues!), this week if you're out particularly late, you might sometimes see Angel out and about! So hey, maybe change is on the horizon.

Just gotta hope it's a change for the better, don't you?

It's been going on a little over a year by this point, and there are only five remaining. I was getting closer. Ernesta was in my grasp, and then this place happened.

[Anna glares, but at this point it's 50/50 that her face is just stuck like that.]

Has Rin told you her theory? About a built-in alternate win condition, and that the puzzles and clues are part of it. I don't know if I entirely believe it, but we do know someone rebelled, and they're certainly not here now.

I...doubt that, actually, but that's more of a personal guess.

[More like "something he can't say in front of god and everyone", but details.]

I'm not sure what happened to the previous set, though. Outside of "presumably, no one flooded the building to kill them all, unless they died in the dome."

Which is still possible, since it's a modular laboratory. But whatever did happen is out of our reach, and I'm sure that's got to mean it's important.

Possibly. I want to think it is, at any rate, because otherwise the alternatives aren't really great.

The new wing looks a little off, too, doesn't it? There doesn't seem to be any obvious space for a hall to add on, like the rest.
