FOURTH INVESTIGATION

It's certainly been another interesting week here at the bottom of the ocean. You met what may or may not have been a ghost, you made some discoveries, but mostly you all kept yourselves busy against the crushing... well, pressure of your situation. The motive again seems to have hit a few of you, and it might not be too hard at all to think that this week isn't going to be any different than the last. But you've all been keeping yourselves busy against the looming Friday, and, well...

It's time to see if that paid off, or if what they say about idle hands is true, I suppose.

[ Yup!

Well, you'd have to ask the stab wound on her torso, that seems to be the source of the problem. But pretty much all of the blood is localized here around the body. ]

[ Okay, so big puddle of blood from a big stab wound. Alright. Doesn't look like anyone tracked through the blood this time, even if they cleaned up the footprints later, or anything like that?

Assuming not, Rin will finally kneel down to get a better look at the stab wound. ]

[ Nah, nothing seems to have been tracked. But the stab would looks... blade-y. A blade happened here, and didn't go all the way through. ]

[ Would you say this wound is deeper than it is wide, like it was a single clean stab? And if so, about how wide is the wound? ]

[ A single clean stab seems about right. As for the width, it's average blade width? Could be a knife, could be a sword that didn't make it all the way through. It's not unusually wide or narrow. ]

[ Alright. Rin is going to do a check for other, shallower wounds, especially on Shelley's arms. Any signs of other stabs that missed their target? ]

[ There are a few defensive wounds here and there, probably, but nothing major and notable.

There's something on her back, though, once you get a chance to look. ]

[ Her back is covered in marble dust, and there are a few chunks of marble underneath her! ]

So uh... Presumably the marble is pretty bloody from her lying in a pool of blood, right? Are there, like... signs of any other injury to go along with it, like the statue fell on her or something like that? ]

[ Yeah, there's blood on the marble for sure. No sign the statue hit her, though. ]

[ Alright, it looks like we're done in here, but just as a quick clarification: where is her body lying relative to the rest of the room? Is it near the statue, just kind of in the middle of the room, close to one of the walls, or...? ]

[ Near the remains of the statue, which is sort of near the middle of the room! ]
