WEEK 6

Another week, another three lost - and this time all to one murder case. And that's to say nothing of the execution, or whatever went on with that ouija board that still sits in the library... strange things are afoot in the facility, and some of them not even your captor seems fully equipped to explain.

The other of the two doors in the main living area finally opens after another lost Saturday, and what lies beyond is... strange, to say the least. Looks like there's no shortage of changes, even in the architecture. It certainly seems like you should have gotten something like this before the water park at the very least, don't you think?

Angel's still out and about at night, if you want to be found. And who knows what else you might find if you're out alone? Apparently, you might have a ghost on your hands.

[ Thankfully no, it's standard "the salty liquid this metal is keeping out is very cold" freshwater condensation. Probably best not to damage this plate, though! ]

[Yeaaahhh... yeah. Anything else to notice about the plates? Manufacturer's marks, graffiti, Monobears? If not, he'll move on to the ping-pong table.]

[ They appear to be completely unmarked!

The ping-pong table is fairly unremarkable itself, though if he looks very closely he can tell the surface has been partially repainted and refinished. It's a similar theme with a lot of the wooden furniture in here, actually. ]

[Hm! Hey. Guess who always has a knife on him? What happens if he, saaaay, chips away at a corner of the table a bit?]

[ Well! If you can get a decent chunk off of there... how familiar are you with the effects of water damage on hardwood? ]

[Oh, very. I mean, even if he weren't already established around here as the Wood Guy, he's done a lot of traveling in the Riverlands and Cliftlands, where wood construction abounds.]

[ Then yeah, that's exactly what seems to have happened. The repairs are decent, not master craftsman level, but more than enough to get everything back into working order. ]

[Intriguing. And everything you need to play is included with the table, right? Same with the air hockey table? Admittedly, Therion doesn't even know what to make of that one.]

[ Yup! They look new, though, and the wood of the paddles doesn't match the wood of the table.

The air hockey table, however, looks totally new. ]

[Hmm. Is there anything under either of the tables? He'll chip at the paint and finish on the underside of the ping-pong table, too, just to check, and look in the goal pockets of the hockey table.]

[ The area under the tables is rougher - it looks like whoever refinished them was mostly focused on the surfaces, you can see clear evidence of water damage here. ]

[Makes sense. Anything to find on the air hockey equipment? Pucks, strikers, the scorekeeper, all clear?]

[ It's all clear and new, yep! ]

[Cool. Maybe someone will teach him what the hell either of these are later. To be thorough, anything going on with the rest of the furniture? Vending machine coins lost between the cushions, anything like that? Probably a lot of it's new.]

[ Yeah, the furniture is... it looks like a lot of it is new, and what isn't new has been heavily refinished. Not much else weird with it though. ]

[All right. Then, leaving the games for Nira to inspect, Therion is going to take a chair (or a table, if he must) so he can examine one of those security cameras.

Is there, like. A blinky light on it? Gods, he has no idea what he's looking for.]

[ There is! It also seems like these cameras all have waterproof shells fitted to them.
